| Gale got plenty of stick at the beginning of the match, I feel he reacted to the crowd getting on his back excellently, something I'd like to see our fans so more often rather than constant sympathy/encouragement.

Come all without, come all within, we're London Broncos not the H********s!:16679.jpg |

| Gale was having a 'mare first 10 mins or so but got his act together and played as decent a 70 mins or so as I've seen from him.

| BJB was interviewed in the Jesters Club pre-game and said he could be back in 3 weeks.
It was very pleasing to be 18-0 up given that, up until then Crusaders had most of the ball and territory. Our defence in that spell was absolutely fantastic. Given the emotion around the pre-match with The Last Post and the Minute's Silence, I wasn't sure how we'd perform, but full credit to the team. I totally agree with the comments on Karl Temata, Hats off to Luke Gale for some excellent goal kicking. David Howell had another good performance. Credit too to Olsi & The Poacher. I imagine the tries conceeded in the last 10 minutes probably p***ed off Mac.

| Quote: east stander "Are you saying the TJ went to the corner flag to indicate he had seen a good try scored which Thaler over ruled? Or are you saying he didnt belive a good try was scored hence why he stood on the touch line and then spoke to the ref and between them decided to go to the VR. Can I suggest you watch the referees actions just before they award a try. See if they look left and right to see if the TJ’s are stood by the corner flags. If they are not there (particularly if they are stood 5 metres up the touch line) see what they do.
'"
I like having that TJ at our games, he always provides a talking point.
So, here I go, dwelling again on what turned out to be a non-issue.
Looked at it again on TV. Youngquest quite clearly had his backside over the line before he lost the ball, so I don't understand why the TJ didn't put his flag up. Looked at from the Sky camera behind Youngquest, which would be much the same view as the TJ had, you could see that he had his arm raised with the ball in the palm of his hand and his bum over the line. The fact that he dropped the ball is irrelevant, it was dead as soon as he went into touch.
EDIT: I suppose it's possible that the TJ thought he may have lost possession before going into touch.
Anybody?

| Temata would be my choice of MOM he was superb. I sometimes feel sorry for the workhorses that go unrewarded because they don't score tries. That is not knocking any of the players as I think they all had a great game. Dorn's tries were great, but nine out of ten times we were in the right place at the right time due to Temata and the other forwards

I totally agree with this and it is my point when it comes to recruitment as well. There has been a fair few calls for going out and getting a top quality stand off or half which would be good if you have a great forward pack to put him behind. I think that we have showed that when our forwards play well that the halves that we have appear to be different players. We need to build up our forwards so that we have a pack that can consistently dominate and set up a platform for the backs. If we do this it would also be a lot easier to attract top qualty backs.
We seem to be a different team when Karl is playing well and he was awesome on Sunday as were a host of others and under the circumstances I was very proud of the team.

| Karl is our best forward by a mile. He's certainly developed a good offloading game this season.
We really miss him when he's not there and I wish the club would go to the Cook Islands and get another one!

| Temata never gets knocked back not even from a slow or standing start. This is in contrast to LMS. Ive been trying to explain this to the missus for months so showed her last night the difference on the sky plus.
After 2 years Im still not sure what Danny Ward offers. Some will say contact, hands and knees, quick play the ball(Cullen probably) Im not sure-one thing is for sure is he is slow.
Williamson is playing well-Very solid.
Esders is solid
The ex Wakey Forward(always forget his name) is improving game on game.
Curtis Melling is also playing well. Throw in Purdo and it looks OK albeit one prop short

What sort of pay do you believe the TJ received for officiating the game yesterday? I suspect I spent more on beer yesterday than he received in pay.
Out of curiosity why do you think he wouldn’t give something you believe he had seen?'"
What I'm saying is that the TJ (or idiot TJ (ITJ) to be more accurate) is obviously incapable of making a proper decision despite being right on the spot. I accept he had no more indicated a try than in touch. He had indicated nothing, making his presence there utterly pointless. May as well get rid of ITJs at games with the VR, and save the RFL some beer money.
From his position he should have seen that the player was in touch and that the ball was not grounded - therefore no TRY. Being unsure how to restart the game might be his only get out, but even that should have been obvious to anyone qualified to run the line, and frankly I don't buy it given what happened in the last home game. Decisions like that are the type that officials should NEVER get wrong, like giving a knock on when you're facing your own line (Thaler!!). I can accept there are some terribly tricky decisions that even the VR cannot really help with, but these two were not them.
The bottom line is that he should have had his flag up in the Castleford game and also in this game. Both were shocking decisions (or non-decisions in this case) and indicative of his inability to do his job. In such a climate it makes it pretty impossible to 'respect' the officials.
End on a positive though, the team were great against admittedly limited opposition. Would have been easy to have let the events of the week affect the players. You could see they wanted to win so badly and this can sometimes have a negative effect. A fitting tribute from the fans too. The PA announcer's mess up actually served to make capture the mood even more - rather than a quick minutes silence and then onto the game. Made me feel very proud to be a Quins fan, and an RL fan. Sure the crowd was small in number but that probably makes us a closer bunch. Credit to the Crusaders fans too. Made it a special day both on and off the pitch.

Wan't Karl T voted players player of the year last year? Always rated him....makes the yard and stops them as well.
Surely the massed ranks of Loyal and Loud could come up with a ditty in his honour.....'you say Tomato, we say Tamata, let's call the whole thing off" would be apt after the leeds dummy spit regarding this weeks KO time

Also Dorn, Clubb, Howell and Gale were also pretty good, and great to see Andy Ellis at last, he looks like he will live up to all the hype.
'"
I'm one of those who hasn't been complimentary about Wilkes, but thought he had his bast game for us yesterday. Looked really impressive.
As for Ellis, his distribution from dummy half is poetry, and he seems to have a great sense of when to scoot too.

I agree 100% about Ellis. His passing was great. Always got to the man at catching level and he passes at a catchable speed, even when they were not close which should mean less dropped balls. Also, did people see his great offoad to Gale when he was being tackled. Im just disappointed he wasn't able to play from the start of the season, as he might have made the difference of a few league points.

| I think Olly Wilkes is one of those unsung players who generally seems to go under the radar.
