| Can't see Wigan bringing many. It is a Saturday which helps but it's sandwiched between St's home and catalan away a couple of weeks before the kids break up. I think the hard core will opt for a weekend in the sun also money is tight this time of year.

don't worry there wont be many home fans other than those that squeeze into a taxi

No side has ever brought 5000 fans with them. Wigan, Saints, Leeds might bring 800-1000 on a good year.
Most clubs anything from 50-500

Hmmm what about the 5,000 Cas fans at the Valley, Charlton, attendance that day was 8,000+, with the £5.00 bus offer from Jungle.com our sponsors.
Think about 110 buses were booked with companies from as far as Nottingham being used.
By the way it was a great day out lots of activities for Kids ect, beer, food what went wrong??????????????????

Bit of a one-off though, can't see it happening again unless Marwan pays for all the Salford fans to come down for free!

Why say 5k when others are pointing out that this is nonsense?
Are we now saying that against wigan there will be 800 wigan fans, 200 members and 400 pay on the door bronco fans?
1400 to be the biggest crowd of the season

We would normally draw 3-4k against Wigan and Leeds.

I said could easily fill 5k on their own which they could given the size of crowds they get at home and they decide to travel. Certainly been games in the past when they have had a good following in London

Then I don't see your point.
If they don't come then clearly they can't fill it so it's a pointless claim. We've played teams with larger home attendance figures than Wigan and they wouldn't bring 5k unless it was a big cup game either.

Not any time recently I expect.
Don't get dragged down to the level of BeesKnees as most of your stuff is informative and insightful.

Sorry I was just trying to get an idea of how many away fans were likely to come. I guess we wont know until the actual games, would be nice to have a few near capacity to have a decent atmosphere going on for all concerned.

| Welcome to RL. I'll be going to the Salford next week. Have been wishing the new season to start since the end of the World Cup. Looking forward to seeing the new signings and new ground.
