Yes wouldn’t surprise me. Worth remembering Eccles isn’t only the interim coach, he’s the interim assistant coach as well and I assume still fitness coach. If he carries this off there could be a mass cull of back room staff across the game as teams work out only 1 person necessary to prepare a team.

| On the subject of letting staff go I see Juma and Greenlagh have both re-signed for Skolars. That makes sense to me and best all round and may free up some funds to strengthen the squad.

Both contributing to Skolars escape against Cornwall over the weekend. Skolars are as thankful for West Wales and Cornwall as we are of Dewsbury and Workington....shameful decline of London RL in a few short years. The last "full season" played by the club was 2019 where 10 wins wasn't good enough to stay at the top table....now we are praying that 10 points might keep us up

| Mike McGuire ex Wigan been sacked at wests
Give him a 5 year contract and tell him to structure the club with a view to being in SL with 10 academy players in the squad
He did a brilliant job at Wigan.

You mean he wouldn't give that up for the prestige of coaching the mighty London Broncos?

After the WC he could wrap that up
Coaches like clubs as it’s every day. International teams play once twice per year. Look at the England ape he’s back at Wigan

Before the world cup London Broncos may well be wound up!
You may not be far off the mark though, as an Aussie or Kiwi may well be easier to attract than a Brit, as the chance to live in the capital will appeal and it's a full time roll on Hughes tab.

Think you could be right, particularly after last 2 games. If he can pick up another win from the next 2/3 it's an easy out for Hughes for this season. Add to that the apparent lack of urgency so far to bring someone in.

| I think he will wait and see for a few more matches.... there is a chance we could pull away from the bottom 2 in the next 3-4 matches

| Eccles isn't a long term solution (not least because he doesn't want the job) but for now he seems composed, candid and able to see where things are working or not.

Agreed Buzz bt it does pose the question why the Coach couldn't!

Mustard was possibly out of his depth given the amount of change this season and in interviews seemed pretty negative. That's not going to help build confidence in the players.
Eccles has been around the club for 10 years and probably knows how players tick. He seems to be keeping it simple. Train well and you'll get in the team.
I don't know how good he is at coming up with specific game plans for the opposition but the biggest step forward is probably motivating the players and getting their best effort.

It’s noticeable that both Rams and Widnes, who dispensed with their coaches around the same time we did, now have a new man in post. I don’t know how recruitment is progressing or if it is but probably best to get someone in before Widnes as quite a few tricky games thereafter and the new manager bounce could soon deflate after a home tonking from Fev. Hopefully a decent standard coach will have seen enough over the last few weeks to think the job is an opportunity not a poisoned chalice.

| Given it looks like Mac has again been found out as an average coach, this time at Fev, might he head back so as to steer the conveyor belt of talent in London back towards SL?
The amount Fev have spent this year, surely he won't get a second season?
