| Quote: Anthony Jones "I'd get off the 65 bus just over Kew Bridge and pop in to the 2 pubs right there by the bus stops
They've gone now. One was a Fullers pub. I just can't recall the names of them.
Then I'd stroll up to The Royal Oak and meet mates in there for a couple more, before taking my place on the Ealing Road terrace.
Happy days.'"
Express Tavern - if so, a fine pub.

That's them. The Wagon & Horses was the Fullers one if I recall.
I know the Express Tavern and have been in there. That is, or was, a London Welsh RU pub. It's over the other side of the road.

Lots of good memories of when we played there, the best one was when Steve Cooper (Homer) were mascots for a midweek game against Huddersfield. It was a red hot day so Steve and i decided to sit by the players entrance and have a cigarette and a beer after the game kicked off, we suddenly became famous when the Sky cameras filmed us.'"
How terribly unprofessional (and how much did those Buck & Dusty outfits stink)

Are you still alive you and Fiddler disappeared off the face of the earth. If they did not stink before they defiantly did afterwards it was well over 90 degrees that night.

| Did not the Buck suit come back from Carcassonne in 2002, in such a condition that nobody wanted to wear it.

| We had some great players and teams at Griffin Pk
Branding was good with Warren and the Broncos dance troupe.

For me despite the "rough and ready" aspect of GP and how we were almost "forced" into the move by circumstances, it was the most fun ground we played at. I loved the Stoop & Valley for a number of reasons but GP felt like home.

GP felt like home - yes it certainly did.
In spite of it being a pain in the backside to get to ( compared to the Valley) it really did feel like a real home ground. ‘Rough and ready’? Sure, but what an atmosphere there used to be at home games- never felt we’ve come close to replicating it elsewhere.
