| The most they will go for is 14 that would make the regular season 26 rounds or 27 if they keep magic as it is now plus whatever mad hat play off system they come up with.
Currently what is it 23 plus 7 with 1 extra for champ teams that make million pound game and 2 extra for SL teams that make the GF so a total of 32 games currently fir the top teams

| I realise that but the bigger picture when it comes to planning and player welfare includes WC/CC and international games.

| Yep there is things like the WCC and CC, and agree player welfare is an issue. But you are then faced with the question of what should the RFL do. Reduce the number of games in the regular season to accommodate the "showcase " games like WCC of do they think of the regular fan, the majority of which don't give 2 figs about the WCC unless there team are involved.
The CC has already been ruined by the seeding system, for me I hope the RFL look at what the average fan wants, and I would suggest that dies not include sacrificing the domestic game in the vain hope it will improve the international team.
Players play too many games in the view of some! I remember the times when a lot of players played winter in UK then went to Aus and played there winter then came back to UK and carried on without a break, not saying it was right but it happened, and I would suggest in that period our international team had more success.

| Also if player welfare was a real concern, SL would never have had the double Easter style fixtures

| You could reduce the fixture numbers by not playing all teams home and away but then you get an imbalance. Teams may end up with more tough fixtures than others which would be a hard sell.
Do the NRL play each other home and away.

| I thought the SL clubs had rejected an increase in the number of teams?

| Don't think so, the decision on future structure was put back until end of the season. Could be back to the franchise system, that will give Toronto a way in if they don't make top 4 next year. That's assuming they sort out the problems they have over there.

| The pitch is an issue, believe there has been quite a few comments from visiting teams, for an artificial pitch it's very poor, Not sure how the funding of travelling teams will be done next year, accommodation for visiting teams being provided has gradually got worse as the season has gone on. Just a couple of things as a start

| One of our number attended the TWP v Hunslet match. He said the stadium is a bit run down. There is no cover so if it were to rain it would be quite a miserable experience.
The crowd was quite good, he was impressed by the number of Hunslet fans who were there.
The area where the stadium is not the best. However as you can see from the TV, there is a lot of redevelopment being undertaken so it should improve.
He thought the Canadians seemed to be buying into the whole thing, however they a winning. If on promotion they started losing then he feels the support might decline.

| The claimed crowd against hunslet was 6000 against all golds 7000 against Hemel 7200 considering it's apparently a capacity of 9000 all seated looking at the TV pictures not sure where they all were, the bar must have been busy. I think the person who counts the crowd must have been same person that worked for us in the past.
But throwing stones and glass houses etc, much better crowds than we manage
