| We now have a home game every week during March. Think our game against Fev in the cup will be on the Sunday as Ealing have a home game that Saturday.

Hmmm...there's scheduled to be the Middlesex under 11s RU Festival played at Ealing on the Sunday, presumably the Broncos wouldn't have right of veto over such an event? Due to finish around 2pm but that would not leave much time for getting the area cleared, usually huge numbers of kids, parents, coaches, sidestalls etc turn up for these events.

I am sure the brains trust have already worked through the scenarios if we were drawn at home ... or maybe not !

Play on Saturday evening, after the Ealing RU game. Make it a double header! Like the Yowies game.

| Kick off confirmed for 8pm Saturday evening. I guess that can't be helped, but the usual healthy contingent of travelling Fev support will be well down, I'm afraid.

That's a shame but you'll appreciate how the few of us who travel feel when the likes of Bradford, Sheffield and Whitehaven make our fixtures 8pm. Still, hope to see you in good numbers on Easter Monday.

Agree completely. Take my hat off to those fans who do follow the Broncos week in week out, especially given the club's nomadic existence in terms of home ground and lean recent years. Sorts the true fans out from the glory hunters.

| We will see the true Featherstone fans that night. Perhaps we will be able to ask them if they all came in the same car. It is the same old routine when you go away. They often state that they bring many more to our ground than we take theirs..
What they fail to appreciate, Sheffield is our closest away game, so every other week we have a several hundred mile round trip to follow our team.
Last season I spoke to a Sheffield fan at Doncaster who complained he had to take three buses to get to the game. How my heart bled.
Last weekend for example my trip to Workington involved an overnight stay in a Hotel and round trip of 760 miles.
It is my choice, I enjoy it, it is what I like to do. But although some do appreciate our efforts, many do not. But let them go on moaning, it is water off a ducks back.

Bostwick,
I don't get your points highlighted above.
For the 1st point even on a Saturday night for a game which is a bit pointless for both teams given that it is a comp that neither team will win the likelihood is that we will bring 2 coaches to the game. I suspect it is likely to be 3/4 for the game which does matter over Easter.
As for moaning I don't see anyone moaning on here that it is a Saturday night (though I suspect you'll twist my words into a moan), just people stating the obvious there will be less Fev fans there on a Saturday compared to the Sunday afternoon. For example personally I had left that Sunday (and Friday) free, but I have another engagement on the Saturday. This will preclude me from go to the CC game on the Saturday night. It is just the way it is, but will be there for the league game.
I guess this means I am not a true Fev fan?
Yours in Sport.
Dave

Yes, that must be infuriating, but I'm puzzled as to the timing of it in this thread - indeed, my own previous post was fulsome in its praise of London's travelling supporters.
Have to take issue with the comment "We will see the true Featherstone fans that night" though. There will be a lot who go to nearly every game home and away who simply can't make it, due to work or family commitments - there won't be many kids there either I'd have thought. I simply made an observation that the crowd will be down because of the kick off timing, it wasn't blaming anyone, especially as our club wanted to play Saturday rather than Sunday.

| Bostwick poorly timed and worded post chap, nobody was having a dig, in fact much the opposite those few that do travel to away games were being given plaudits and praised.
Fact is some folk can't travel too far to away games. I would imagine actually sat eve is best time for those travelling South.
Hope fev bring a couple of coaches let's test out the trestle table

| I am pleased the game is being played late on a Saturday, suits me down to the ground. In addition it makes a change for us to be making things awkward for away fans. Normally we are the ones who get messed about.
Look at Blackpool Bash, who are first up on the first day. Who has to have to travel the furthest. Us!!
Bradford, moved the Easter game to Maundy Thursday. Not helpful. It happens all the time.
Sure there are some of the home fans who when we at away games applaud our efforts, but plenty more are in the " Did you all come in the same car " camp. And
London sucking the lifeblood out of Rugby League by taking all the money is the other one.
Well done The Broncos, arrange the game for when it suits you, do not worry about the other clubs, they do not worry about us.

| Have to say in my days of doing away games I was treated brilliantly by home fans. I can think of one snide comment at Bradford about southern RL and that's it in well north of 50 trips. (Plus one sarky comment a out the lack of travelling Broncos fans ahead of an England game at Wigan. The bloke's mate then asked why he hadn't travelled to the first test at Bolton. "Too far" came the reply and the whole pub burst out laughing at him.) Micky taking chanting about taxis, skateboards etc was common, so what, but face to face fans were good. I can think of a fair few trips I struggled to get a round in pre or post match as locals kept depositing beer on our table as a thank you for travelling. I got fed and given hot drinks by the Hull KR fan sitting next to me once on a freezing day, given a lift to the ground from a far flung brew pub at Hull FC, and treated like royalty at Wakefield numerous times. In particular the time we kicked off 19.00 on a Sunday there, it turned into a royal walkabout type experience we shook so many hands as we walked across the terrace.

| Idiotic comments. I would think that there will plenty of home fans who will struggle to get across London to get last trains home that night, particularly as the last train from Castle Bar Park seems to be 21:49. I am afraid the idea of bus, tube and then trying to get a rail replacement bus from Newbury Park at not far off midnight will defeat me. Then I am probably not a true fan either.
