Or why Hull got £1m and a Super League place to wind up Gateshead.
The RFL have never operated a level playing field. |

what have Oldham been told? I thought part of the problem was the state of the playing surface as much as anything.

Oldham were refused permission to play at Whitebank in tier 2 next season. I believe one of the issues is off pitch facilities for the players.
I can think of a few 3rd tier grounds that don't have formal turnstiles so presumably they aren't required at level 3 and Broncos getting ground grading suggests that is true at level two.

Do Oldham & Swinton play on roped off pitches or summat?

Maybe, but think of the earbashing we're going to get from Oldham supporters (Swinton's ground has been passed) when they find that we've been allowed to play on a ground that's not much better than the one the RFL said that they couldn't use! |

Apparently they are going to put in a temporary stand. My personal opinion is that ground capacity should only be up to the club concerned - why should they have to pay to maintain a ground that will only be needed for one or two games a season? Just have a couple of all-ticket games. |
