Happiness is like peeing in your pants. Everyone else can see it but only you can feel the warmth!: |

| Quote: Snoopy "From our chairman in todays programme.
However it did mean that were behind the curve in assembling a squad. A number of the players come from Down under which means they have to apply for a visa to work here. Theres no quick way of processing this - Australian visas go to Manila. So when we sign players it could take up to six weeks for them to get a visa to travel '"
I would love to hear why there is a delay as everything gets send to manilla. It is a stupid statement. DH committed to 3 years which he very nearly went back on. And then he says the manilla processing is to blame.
I am sure rooster and gutters can back me up here. But uk immigration anz everything is processed in auckland. Manilla do have a step in the process but everything is gathered and scanned to them electronically from auckland!!
but it still does'nt matter where it the bloody things are processed, For every problem it means that there are issues upstream, it is not manilla or aucklands fault we are in this mess.

| Quote: Snoopy " Gus Mackay our ceo has come in for a lot of criticism and this is unfair because it was down to me. I was in a dilemma whether to carry on in Oct there wasn't going to be a club. We were at a crossroads.'"
October 2013? Why were we scurrying around in August 2012 then....was that you too?
Spin seems to be the order of the day.....the club has been in terminal decline during this year licence period. If hughes couldn't be d, why did he bother applying for one?
And Gus is to blame.....following orders is not an excuse of a strong leader, but a scared idiot

| If DH thinks Gus is coming in for stick because of events since last October he really does need a reality check. He has been a disaster since walking in the door.

| DH committed to a 3 year licence. His terrible decisions brought the club to the brink of destruction and sees us nailed on for relegation. It is going to take more than a few programme notes for him to redeem himself.
Add to the that the way the club have treated all and sundry through this process via his henchman Gus.

| Hi this is not a dig at what I believe is a genuine question from you. Women retire at 60 years old and it is gradually being steeped towards 66years of age over the next 5 years. Or at least I believe it is a five year span but I could be wrong on the timing element. They will gradually be in line with men on retirement. The female partners of Broncos fans who retire before 65 years have had their concessions removed and believe it or not it is enough to lose fans over as if the wife can't come along the husband also stops attending. Now after 2 years as a concession I have to pay in full from my pension for a period of three years. Due to costs I cant afford to do it and therefore after 20 years I have to give up being a supporter. I agree the club needs to make money but they are discounting family tickets where probably one or two wage earners exist, they are letting kids in for a pound. DOnt get me wrong I think this is admirable and needs to be done to get people back through the gates. I do not have a problem with cutting conecssions for men under 65 as they are still in a wage earning category but the only people who seem to be singled out to lose their concession are the female pensioners and I find this totally wrong.

Sympathise but can't answer your question. I'm well above the 60/65 mark so not affected by the transitional issues. Been a concessionary ST holder for 10+ years and always thought it was ridiculously cheap. Only planning on visiting the Hive a couple of times this year because of travel issues so don't really mind if I have to pay more.
Have you tried debating your issue with the club?

| I was just looking at the prices and when you click on the tab you still are directed to the stoop. I have to say this is a little poor, it isn't too much to ask to change this, or even delete the page, it's a quick job.
on the note of pricing, it's also disappointing to see that students no longer get concessions. Especially with trent park uni only down the road and have a rugby league team. also I'd like them to offer more to universities, if they don't already, there is a thriving league and take say Cambridge who are coached by Andy champ run their pre varsity training at Hull kr. There is a market there of students who will probably end up working in London.

1649_1338292262.jpg I have followed the LONDON CLUB since I was in my teensl even though born in St Helens and still live nearby and went to the first game at Fulham, also Big West Ham Supporter:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_1649.jpg |

| Quote: Tre Cool "They brought a good following, I agree. But not the majority by a long shot.'"
It was only around Thursday Salford announced they were able to run a second coach to the game, and I would not expect 100's to come by car. Late last night when I got home someone had posted a photo of the Salford fans, and the stand is very low at the end, and you could count them virtually, and they were not a majority.
But as I have often said before, it is when we put a team together and are getting some wins hopefully, we really push the marketing!

| I really hope commonsense wins the day on this one. Include anyone over sixty on the concession rate. This would accommodate supporters who were previously included. It will also help persuade any needy would be spritely fans out there. Surely a win win situation. Raise this with GM and/or TK directly. Two over sixties on the family ticket, then club together with friends or other fans at the Hive or from on this forum.

Great shout about Middlesex University-Hendon and Trent Park Campuses. Maybe Harrow College and University Of Westminster - Harrow Campus and Brunel University. There really needs to be a push to get Students in to be hooked to the game and making it a popular down meeting place full of life and positivity - students are always positive as they are always drinking,ha.

| If only David Hughes had sent this message directly to the STs from last season. It is quite clear a lot that are staying away have a High Dudgeon postcode. Build bridges and build crowds, David.
