And we'd probably have one if it weren't for Lenegan and his accomplices scuppering the RFL's grand plan.

| If the EGM had gone ahead we would have lost the vote concerning at least one of the conditions we want.
Inevitably the players we had provisionally agreed deals with have started to sign elsewhere. I was told three names recently, one is now employed elsewhere. I wouldn't be surprised to see us carrying a lot of loan players next year. One of the three was an academy lad who was due south for a season. I'd imagine that deal will be resurrected if we do play in 2014.

...yet Bradford's "new" owners have been rubber stamped. Funny that.....any delay at Bradford may have left the RFL with a ground with no team to play in it.......any further delay at London may leave a team with no ground to play in!
..as for the Grand Plan.....I have no faith in the RFL to take the game forward as a professional and successful sports business. IL and the others will be faced with opposition from Leeds, whose head honcho has his eye on the top job at Red Hall and a collection of clubs who will vote for what is best for "their" clubs as opposed to the game.
SL needs to run itself......let the RFL pander to the needs of clubs who will NEVER achieve the 10k average needed to break even.

We don't have a team or ground though.

| Or maybe AK is the investor and he's just making it clear to the RFL that he has other options if they don't get a move on. That's how I read it.

| Quote: Roy Haggerty "I read that story. The Barnet guy comes across as a bit of a knob, tbh. Good to see that if Broncos do survive and move in there, they'll be maintaining the high standard of administration and management they've been used to.'"
As a Barnet fan as well as a Broncos fan, this would be the dream move for me. One thing I can assure you though is that TK is no knob. He is a shrewd business man who is a passionate sports fan. He fought with the Tory council for many years and pumedp countless hundreds of thousands into BFC for little reward. He does not suffer fools gadly as you can tell. He has turned the Hive into one of the best sporting complex in London and needs to ensure it remains economically viable. SAdly at the moment a netball team may be a better proposition!
Come on you Broncos Bees!!

| What people here are forgetting with regard to Bradford is that the RFL have lumbered themselves with Odsal, so if the Bulls go under what do they do with it?

| Quote: gutterfax ".What I can assume is that The RFL seem quite content to drag this out as if we do fold, they will have one less thing to worry about, but they do run the risk of any goodwill gained in the media from this RLWC being torched if we implode. I do not know if the guy at Barnet is this new investor, but either way, the inability of the RFL to make a definitive decision either way will probably administer the lethal injection to London Broncos as a SL club past 2014.
We need a decision from the RFL now.....they were happy to meet and OK the Bradford board....maybe we are not asking the right people the right questions?'"
For once I agree with you, and I don't like others blame Ian Leneghan, his action and the others is essential for the elite part of our game to stop the rot that has been allowed for far too long.
The RFL have spent a lot of time on Bradford, it was kept low key in the media on Tuesday night, that they have not accepted the new co-owner of Bradford and barred him due to his records on previous companies, a really dubious history, but why did they announce in the typical triumphant RFL way his arrival a few weeks before, why was his background not checked out first? typical ham handed senior RFL management.
The sponsorship that The Hive announced yesterday with Toshiba Medical is superb and after watching the press conference on YouTube impresses, why are we and the RFL not tapping into this.
If we see no action from The RFL I would like to see one of the national media do a real in depth investigation into what is and has gone on in recent months with the London Club, the day of Wembley and the World Cup semi final or The Final. I just worry that Ian Lenegan and the six may back down, if so the RFL will continue to be run like amateur time!

| With Barnet's first team playing at The Hive and a Woman's side being formed to play there, that cannot leave much space in the calendar for any other sport and with two teams playing Football there, would you want a third side playing on the same pitch? I certainly wouldn't if I were involved with Barnet but I suppose that would be outweighed by a new source of income.

Or perhaps a pitch like Widnes have, and it can be used all year no problem!

| Dont we play in the summer?
3 teams on one pitch is no big deal if its managed correctly. There are no big stands to prevent the sun getting at the grass.

Artificial pitches aren't allowed at any level of football from Conference North/South upwards.

Yes correct at present, but at the end of May this year " 3G4US" was formed by 50 lower league clubs from The Premiership to campaign for the use of 3G pitches due to the loss of games last season. Interesting to see Cardiff Blues are looking at 4G as well for Cardiff Arms Park to follow the success of Saracens at Allianz Park.

| Three teams at the City of Salford Stadium. Salford, Sale and Man Utd under 21s and academy.
Leyther_Matt didn't Leigh, Swinton and Blackburn under 21s all play at the Sports Village last season.

So you want a penniless non-league football club to spend out a minimum of 40k so your club can play there? I can't see it making any good business sense to do that.
I believe that Women's Football takes place in the Summer so Barnet's ladies would be playing throughout the summer and with Barnet back on it in August and playing through winter, I can't see how it would be good for Barnet, as they're the main priority here, to rent their ground out to a third club.
However, Barnet aren't an orthodox club. They currently have a manager in charge that has made himself captain, given himself the number one shirt, doesn't bother going to northern away games and regularly flies out of the country with no notice, it wouldn't surprise me to see the Broncos there.
The Salford stadium doesn't have regular Man United U21 games and neither does Leigh's.
