No. He'll soon be playing in the Championship IMO.

Assuming that, despite the massive thread drift, you're talking about Wheeldon, then nor have I, but he may have had a motivation issue in London which Darryl Powell could fix. Players leaving are always viewing their new club with enthusiasm. Not many mutter about problems they're glad to leave behind as he has.
Do you know if Cas are likely to keep Channing?

If you can get him to lose a few pounds again then he's a very strong runner, but he got fat towards the end of the year and ended up not being very useful. He can be a good prop if he's motivated.

| Thanks for that - my issue with the Cas forwards is that we haven't got any real size, in comparison to other teams, which is why I think your bigger pack beat us in games such as the mud bath at Wheldon Road early in the season when Kaufusi and Bryant really seemed to dominate us.
For this reason I'd be glad if we did sign a big strong runner, but as you say, someone like Wheeldon who is a little overweight probably isn't what would do us well. Hopefully Powell can get him in shape.
Regarding Channing, I think we're looking to get him signed up, Daryl Powell said he'd like him to stay, though we've since signed Ashley Gibson so I'm not sure where that leaves him. He's shown great feet and a good turn of pace in the short spell at Cas, though a lot of fans seem concerned by his small stature against bigger centres.
Also, best of luck to everyone down your way in getting turned around for next season, fingers crossed you'll be in Super League next year with the promising youngsters who've done well in the last few games!

Agree, and as Euclid also says. What concerns me? is "Running Rugby" is only for people working within the two codes or services who work with them, I expect better.

Exactly my thoughts.
Is the player pool shrinking that fast with all the antipodeans going home/not coming plus our own going there now? Then again at the broncos we've never developed young players before so im not sure if those at Wigan and Leeds see that they will accelerate in their development very quickly at their age in terms of physical and mental development so they are not the finished article.

Clubb is cr@p (bit like most of the players who are off excepting Bailey moments to remember but so many more to forget), Sarginson might be ok in a decent team. Good riddance. Whatever next year brings so be it but let's not bring along a load of prima donnas with an inflated sense of their own worth and ability.

| No one at Wigan is mentioning Clubb as far as I am aware. Wigan's future planning and player development is at the other end of the universe from London's: they have obviously seen something in Sarginson that the speccies who have watched him at The Stoop this year have not.

| I heard a few weeksback from my Widnesian nephew that Clubby was Vikings bound...maybe we have put them off...either way he would have to have a hide thicker than a rhino to turn out for us if he doesnt get a move.

| "Committed antipodean". With the exception of Mr Soward, that would appear to be an oxymoron.
