Think of it as how we all get stuffed by the banks and the interest rates they offer on savings.........if you have saved with them for years and been loyal, they offer you the minimum rate and two fingers, if you are a new saver they offer you a similar rate but with an introductory bonus.

In LB`s case, loyal fan icon_sad.gif , away/curious fan icon_biggrin.gif ..........no doubt the person who put the LB scheme in place is a banker (edit as required).

'its all about the brand it's all about the brand' 'Harlequins was the wrong brand it gave off the wrong image'
'We have to move east as west london is not perceived as a RL hotbed.'

Then the club does this, which basically gives the impression of saying F U season ticket holders as it sell the boxes in the home stand to away fans at £40 for entry and ents and £60 for entry and ents to long term season ticket holders.

That's why this is a problem.

Quote: "the main purpose of hospiality is to entertain those who need to be entertained for the benefit of the club and current season ticket holders don't fall into that bracket for me.
'"

I would argue this with you, current season ticket holders need entertaining as much as any new fans as they have not been entertained for the last few seasons. There has been nothing going on either on or off the pitch for a long time. I also believe like other posters on here season ticket holders should be treated as fairly as occassional fans and away fans . Financially you are better off attending games without a season ticket it is cheaper for hospitality and there are usually numerous freebies thorughout the year. Why give your money to the club in advance when you may not be able to attend every game and there is no other benefit and no incentive to feel part of a club.

Quote: Rooster Booster "Am with you Dave. As unfortunate as it is for ST holders.'"

Last year, Gus stressed to the core support (attending the Game 1 Fans Forum) how much the club would rely on them to bring along potential new supporters. This may explain why he didn't employ any other methods to attract a crowd. However, now he seems happy to exclude them from this process.

Legends Lounge shouldn't just be a cheap day out for away fans. If should also be aimed at those who want to bring potential new fans to the game.

it's easier for him to offer a commission to the away ticket office on all 40 quid tickets sold and let THEM market t to their fans han it is to actually earn aliving....it's a ing joke....but one that will eventually come unstuck

Well his #1 priority is to find us a new ground. I suppose the smaller the crowd is, the easier his task will be.

There have been no signs so far that anything is coming unstuck for Gus personally. There are no indications from what we can see that the 'board' are unhappy with any of this nonsense.

David Hughes doesn't give a so long as he rolls up at 1pm match day, gets fawned over, sees the team and then gets to play the "Chariman" for a couple of hours.....at an alledged 120k a ticket, he'sentitled to, but in relaity, the clowns have been put in charge of the circus and as an investment opportunity, London Broncos RL is bcoming less and less of a proposition with every turn.

27 Home games on Gus's watch and a steady decline continues....no bravado this year about static ST sales (they are down....make no mistake, because if they were up, he'd have told us) and now a total disregard for the ST holders he sees as having let him down by not bringing mates in 2012...there is NO.....and I mean NO....plan to increase attendances of local fans.

BTW.....Legends is at best 100 heads....that's 2k in additional revene, or at best 26k a year.....why bother?????? Just sack Gus's PA and let him answer his own ing phone and you'll save more than we make from the Legends Lounge icon_cool.gif

Interestingly...DH insisted on Harlequins RUGBY LEAGUE replacing Harlequins RL.........wonder what the reason for the RL with London Broncos is, given DH believed he's heard from a mate of a mate that the kids in Esher thought it meant RUGBY LESSONS?

FURTHERMORE....

If anyone really cared about what was going on at the club, then they wouldn't have far to look for a long list of monumental clusterfx by the warden:
91 SL games at the stoop since we returned in 2006....
2 Others played "elsewhere"........
Highest "reported" attendance 12,301.
Highest actual attendance 8,213
Lowest attendance 1,517...on his watch. In fact, 5 of the 7 lowest attendances are all on his watch...8 of the lowest 10!
Average attendance at the Stoop BEFORE 2011 was 3,831
Average attendance at the Stoop 2009/10 was 3,408
Average attendance at the Stoop AFTER 2010 2,928.....903 (23.5%) down on the 2006 figure and 480 (14%) on the 2 previous years....this is with the name change and his hand picked staff in place.
Season ticket holders we were told were static at 890 in 2011 and 2012......no announcement on the fall/rise in numbers in 2013.
8 games out of a possible 55 where the team has had a shirt sponsor...by the end of this season, that will be 42% of the time icon_biggrin.gifOH:
Season ticket holders expected to pay twice as much as away fans for hospitality.... d040.gif
Marketing and Sales staff fired and replaced with a personal Assistant to the CEO d040.gif

If the club was a publicly traded entity, this guy wouldn't have been employed, but as long as we arethe hobby of a benefactor, we have little control or say about what is done to a club that we have financially supported over the years.....the RFL need to step in IMO.

Current season ticket holders have already made their investment in the club by committing to purchasing a ticket that entitles them to access all home games. I knew that when I bought the ST, so did you.

If away fans are taking advantage of this hospitality for their one day out in London, then this is fantastic news. I highly doubt the Legends Lounge will be packed out full of Wakefield fans this weekend. The vast majority of RL fans don't care about having a meal before the game.

I think some people need to rethink the purpose of (corporate) hospitality. We aren't the only club that do not offer discounts for ST holders either. The cost of the hospitality also compares well.
