Agree, don't rate him at all unfortunately. Can't fault him for effort though.

| Saying he is better than ocallaghan is hardly going mad over him!
To be fair I forgot about colborn totally as well, I don't know how I'd want him to play, would leave that til a few games on to decide.
Also would have dixon as second choice full
Back over Robertson, I prefer him on the wing.
A good season for sarginson would see him in contention for the England squad for that tournament that's happening next year. Though being honest it would take a lot for him to get in the team, and I could only see him playing at centre.
Where did he play for the knights?

| He's a ball player; a real natural. I'm sure lock is his position. Whether he's physically ready for that is a different matter.

| I would select Robertson as the Fullback as he is defensively sound with Colbon and Dixon the wingers as both offer pace, tries and a solid defense. I would partner Sarginson and the six feet five youngster Lovell alongside him. Halves of Dorn and Gower. There would be no place for Witt because of his bad performances in 2012, no place for Howell because of his bad performances in 2010, 2011 and 2012 and O'C for his dire performances between 2008-2012. There's no point flogging the dead horses of Howell and O'C you may as well give up on them and try Grady and McMeeken. I don't think Channing will make it but he can be tried out. O'C has had 80 chances and isn't good enough. What frustrates me is repeatedly playing people who never produce. Players like Witt are in poor form so you might persevere but poor players in poor form are no use to us.

I agree with the sentiment but disagree on some positioning. Dixon has FB written all over him, and played there exclusively in the juniors. There's no point including Colbon in any plans because he's always injured, so I'd go with Robertson and and Howell (because there's no-one else). Lovell looks like he's moved permanently into the second row so I'd be looking at McMeeken and Sarginson. Gower and Dorn in the halves. Channing, O'Callaghan, Colbon and Witt as back ups.

| Howell has to be one of our most frustrating players. There were fleeting glimpses once TR returned of what he is capable of. I think he is worth sticking with for the moment.

| Howell was very good towards the end of the season under TR, I don't see what Lovell has showed to be considered better than him.

| Howell looked good at the end of the season. Running good lines & breaking through defences.

| Didn't Howell pick up an injury, then a ban at the tail end of 2010? Seems like when he returned to active duty, something or someone prented him from regaining his form......until that someone or something was replaced by TR
Have to say, Howell always had a bit of "mongrel" about him and I would be shocked to hear he didn't take kindly to being told what to do by a coach with zero ability or experience.
as Listy will point out, I can only go on match reports and highlight reels so therefore am not best qualified to comment, but as far as I am concerned, left and right /wing areas have been where we have leaked a lot of points since 2010.

| I like Channings commitment but physically he is not a Centre. That was obvious last season. If injuries/loss of form or lack of commitment by others hadn't happened he wuldnt have played there IMO.
Maybe try him as hooker, especially if he can build his frame up. He is sharp quick and has a good RL brain i think. Really flew at the line last season.

| I'd love to see Dixon get a run at FB, probably where his speed and footwork would generate most benefit - and he's too small as a winger, I'm always surprised teams don't kick to him (even though, to be fair, he's got springs on his feet).
I'd like to see Sarginson have a go at Stand Off, although I think TR will go with Witt or Dorn, and if not Dorn then he'll likely start at FB, so maybe off the bench.
Howell lost everything after his injury, but looked good at the back end, so he's probably in, with any one of 3 or 4 on the other side.
