I agree the towel idea is daft. But do you really think they're going to hold one of these at the moment? With Powell in attendance? I'd be very surprised

| Do you think that this situation would have been put up byany other Rugby League club fans? The choice is do nothing and see this club die (it is losing fans by the shed load each week), or have some symbolic good-natured protest to let the world know that we have had enough. We have suffered enough, a few people laughing would be light relief. As Popeye once said " I can stand so much, I can stand no more".
Are we just mugs or fans who care?

| Pittsburgh Steelers fans wave yellow towels around all the time - its one of the most famous "routines" in sports.
Why us waiving white towels in protest is daft escapes me.

simpsons/017.jpg Welcome Quins Kitties born 02.04.09 -
Purdo - Determined, loveable with a "can-do" attitude. A born leader.
Louie - Big, white and fluffy. A very noisy prop forward.
Harley- Cute and gorgeous (just like our no.9) Well, I couldn't call her Chad, could I?
Update on Quins Mogs :-
Purdo - deffo leader amongst Mogs. The Capo.
Louie - turned out to be more like Louie Spence than LMS. Re-named Judas.
Harley - Cute but not as gorgeous as our no.9.
Oh well, at least I haven't got a Willy.:simpsons/017.jpg |

| Penguin - I think supporters would rather RP wasn't at a fans forum. If he isn't there, you might get an idea from the powers that be why they think he is a good coach. Let's face it, no-one will say anything to RP to his face, so don't think it will help having him there. That said, I doubt they will have the balls to front up to the fans at this moment in time.
Darth, there are so few of us any protest will look pretty daft. How many people would do it...a dozen or so? Sorry, to me it seems pretty pointless (and what if we manage to get a big win against Widnes? How will it look then?)

| What I want, as I think everybody else on here does also, is for this team to start playing up to its potential every week.
If someone can persuade me that waving a white towel on Saturday is going to help in that, I'm willing to do it. Nothing I've read here yet has had that effect though.
My personal inclination is to simply sit in silence when the team run out and to start cheering only if and when they do something to merit it.

1649_1338292262.jpg I have followed the LONDON CLUB since I was in my teensl even though born in St Helens and still live nearby and went to the first game at Fulham, also Big West Ham Supporter:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_1649.jpg |

Expressing our thoughts on Our Forum! Our Club Facebook Page, many of us including myself expressing our clear opinions both in email's and letters to David Hughes as well as Gus, of that is putting my head in the trough it is a completely know meaning!
No! this is how I think is best, not writing letters to the general media or rugby league weekly press or waving or throwing towels.
I fully endorse what Dan Stains was god says, I personally feel the numbers who would join in a towel protest will be small in what we all feel will be a very small attendance, does that send out a powerful message?

| The most powerful message will be the attendance - not the towel waving buffoons, but the number in attendance as a whole.
The attendance will not exceed 2,000, I'm quite sure of that. That shows how uninterested people are in the London Broncos club.

| Think jaybs and Moe are right.
RP will still be in a job if we lose, imo. If he was going to go, he would have gone quite a few games ago.

| I will say that we as fans have been too kind and too polite, certainly when compared to our northern rivals, certain other sports and sports in other countries. We are often summarised as passionate, but small in number and this may be true to an extent but I believe our passions brim under the water when compared to more vitriolic fans. I can only rem one proper outburst against Powell all season, that rebuke of the Towel at the Catalans game would have been followed by numerous other for instance Cas fans, but we keep our emotions under the surface, the reserved Londoner who tuts, who doesn't speak his or her mind, but leaves it to write after the event, well look where that has got us.
The other point is one that Iestyn Harris made on the SL show a while back that our matches tend to lack atmosphere and intensity, home and away because there is no cauldron, no killer atmosphere that pushes either team to dig that little deeper, and I think this bleeds into the team. Too many just accept defeat, or accept a missed tackle because at their former club they would have been crucified by their own fans, where as we just groan and those groans are at least half in number as they were used to. Basically we are too reserved and the players don't hear that we are not okay with failure, and then failure then becomes an accepted routine at the club. Are we to blame, partially maybe, but to do nothing really hasn't helped the situation at all now has it.
It may be verging on daft but we should make our feelings known and unless someone has a better idea I will be bringing a white towel to the Widnes game.

| I agree with a lot that you say, Londo. It's true that Londoners are a bit more reserved than our Northern counterparts and the fact that we are such a small crowd means we cant influence the ref or the game to much effect.
I must admit that I wouldn't boo my team...it's just not me, I'm afraid. My sister mentioned to Chad one day that he was lucky that we London supporters don't boo. His reply? "Perhaps you should!" That was at an away game a couple of years back.

I'm not sure I could ever boo my team, but if we are playing by one set of rules to every other set of fans out there, then surely our players have ears and when they hear we are okay with insipid performances then why would they think that anything is wrong.
Basically the players are having to be there own motivators at the minute as fans drift away and I just don't see an ounce of charisma in the Towel that would lift the team.
The Towel has all but said that Gower delivers more than a few team talks, why not sound him out as a player-head coach if we don't have the cash to bring someone in. I see a lack of passion at every level of this club, and it's about time we let everyone know that we're not gonna take it!

I find it worrying that he is doing this already and it still has no effect. If that is the case is there much point in promoting him
