Ah the memories. Yes Mr Monie was released after dismal display against Warrington in first half became too much. He was not a happy chappy to say the least. He felt he had been conned by certain people at the club (not informing him that Edwards, Offiah & Gill would be leaving before signing up) and after spending most of the season choosing who he wanted to buy (Hetherington, Dymock, Barnett etc) being sacked. When Chariots scored those wins for Salford to knock us out of the cup etc he dedicated them all to our CEO for letting him go when he had been looking forward to hooking up with John Monie again and hadn't wanted to leave the place. So he made it his mission to prove a point and beat us and score in each game. John was a very quiet leader of men and he always said "there are 2 types of coaches, those that have been sacked and those waiting to be sacked"
