A shame as I has always hoped he would succeed. In the NFL many, if not most, of the best coaches were never players (or at least only played at very low levels) and I hoped this appointment would scotch the old theory that coaches had to have ex players that seems to prevail over here. But it is clearly not to be.

Coaching staff dont count toward cap.
They should count towards quota though.

I might as well jump on the Powell out band wagon. I agree with most here and he should have gone when we rebranded and started all a fresh. New name, new team, new coach. We still might have had problems jelling but i dont think we would have lost this many and im dam sure we wouldnt have lost today.

But as we didnt i was prepared to give him ago just to see if with the experience he had in the team this time he could make a go of it. But im sorry its just got worse and worse as we have all said and seen. and lets be honest we thought the defence last year was a joke but this year its totally comical.

If anyone is watching the St's/Leeds game, then you can see what a diffrent a new coach makes. St's are 18-0 up in 12 minutes and playing better then they have all season so far.

Kind of makes a point to what we are all on about. They are playing for someone they believe in.

Yes! and what experience does Saints Mike Rush have as a coach? less than Powell, no wonder he says he does not want the job full time, at least he is willing to accept reality!

We have got to do something we can't carry on, the few players who are giving it all are being let down seriously by the rest. How do we expect ever to bring in new fans or get fans who are no longer watching us when this is how we perform, action needs to be taken currently we are just going through the motions on and off the field.

Poor very poor and just got back. The players disappeared down the tunnel at the end and didn't come over to the few fans from London. Time some of them stayed down the tunnel the way they played. Dropped ball, couldn't complete two play the balls at the start of the game. Defence like swiss cheese. Expect Wakey to run us over next week.
