Really.....? 10 years on here bitching about Marketing and the total lack of it is not the same as bitching about everything the club is attempting to do for the 2012 season and onwards.....the seating arrangements, the clubs name, the clubs shirt colours, the possible on the road games.....I have no doubt that if the club do secure a sponsor it will not meet with the approval of some on here.

This is a discussion forum, I come on here to discuss the activites occuring at the club. I have justified all of my criticisms and do not simply "bitch" for the sake of it. I'm not just going to sit here pretending I'm happy as larry and everything that is being done is tip top, something that others seem to be prepared to do.
You say we should have patience? So basically, you advocate making mistakes, and then jumping on peoples backs once the mistakes are made? I'm more of a believer in avoiding the mistakes in the first place. I think the seating arrangements are a shambles. My opinions on the clubs name are well documented. I don't care about the shirt colours, I care about the shirt being crap and unidentifiable. The on the road games are a pointless and poorly thought out exercise that will produce no short term or long term results and just irritate present supporters. 3 weeks after our grand launch, the club is STILL without a proper website. That is absolutely inexcusable. Maybe the person spouting on Facebook and Twitter every other hour should be taught the princples of web development...
The only positives I have identified since the end of the season has been the development on the squad on paper and the fact that we have signed up to stay at the Stoop for a few more years.
You harp on about "getting over it", maybe you should "get over" the fact that we don't all think that everything GM and his associates implements is a wonderful idea, and we all have opinions of our own on how OUR club is being ran. I'm sorry if that doesn't fit in with your agenda.

No you're not......so don't say it.
As I said, EVERYTHING..............the seating, the name change, the OTR games...even the non-descript shirt which BTW is the only all black Home strip in ESL so is defining.
As for my Agenda? I make no secret of what My Agenda is...it is to see the club with an average of 9k in 3 years time and be heading towards "break even" on the finance front with no need to rely on one mans money. I have no opinion regarding Gus or anyone else at the club, but I believe that the lack of website aside, the relaunch has gone OK.
As I have said.......you can't make an omlette without first breaking some eggs....and it was never going to be a relaunch that was going to please everyone.
As you say, the most positive aspect of the clubs look for 2012 is the team that have have assembled.......and if they start well and the club get gates in the "4" brackets for the first couple of games then it will be a good start.
2011 season saw an average of 2,599 for the first 6 home games of the year.......we won 1 and drew another......the season was over before the end of April.

| You have outlined your agenda on here before. You are prepared to stand by the decisions made by the club now, and only get upset and demand change when they go wrong.
I am sorry if that doesn't fit into your agenda, as previously you have been a very reasonable poster with some excellent ideas, most of which I have agreed with and vice versa, and now all you seem to do is throw a paddy when someone dares critcize something that the club has done, instead prefering the "lets cross our fingers" approach.
There has been a noticable change in your posting, ever since you started including little winks in your posts, indicating that you know things that we don't.

Do us a favour. Any "all black" rugby strip (either code) just looks like a corny ersatz NZRU strip. "All black looks intimidating etc." (Yawn.)
A retro Fulham strip with a big red/white chevron would have looked so much more stylish. Or the red/yellow/blue quarters as used for last year's away shirt. Or just any remotely original and innovative design. Anything but the nondescript all black!

The PLAYERS had 100% input to the shirt design....I'll be sure to pass on your advice.

...in the eyes of a Rugby League fan our shirts for 2012 look pretty non-descript. God job that the club don't need to appeal to those already aware that we exist, but instead to a new wider audience.
BTW.
Wigan Warriors record selling away strip of all time was....2007. That was the year after we sold a load of training tops that were...er.......Black.
....black is a pretty popular colour for replica shirts...I seem to recall the club selling out of our training kits 2 years running..the second year had white piping I believe.

| I will just be relieved to be rid of the technicolour yawn(ion) shirts that we've had to endure these last 6 years (although must admit that I couldn't resist the Quins latest charity shirt with the firework/flower design. Very Stade Francais).
Bring on the black, I say (with any luck, might make us all look slimmer).

| Yes, a plain black shirt will really appeal to the wider audience. Any new supporters will be storming the club shop to buy such an exciting kit. There gutterfax goes again, dropping in some more 'inside info', this piece even more laughable. What do the players know about selling shirts? Fine, consult them to see if they have any major problems with the final design, but any more than that is a joke. Why did anyone get said to design that, I could have done better on Paint.

You're welcome, though I don't know why you didn't just edit the original.
No spelling error so I didn't see it, just couldn't make sense of it.
PS: OMG, I've just upgraded my Firefox and lost the spellchecker in the process.

| I was wearing a Quins Rl top in a pub in Gloucester on monday which sparked a conversation as Quins had beaten Gloucester on Saturday in the heineken cup. I then had to explain it was league and not union. That conversation and the opportunity to spread the word would never have occurred if I had been wearing London Broncos top.

| Yeah but you might have had a different conversation along the lines of "London Broncos , who are they, an American Football team?"
