| In the bar underneath the West Stand.
Could someone ask if there is any point in buying a season ticket next year? I.e. will the club be running a different strategy to get new supporters in, other than throwing 1000's of free tickets around, rendering our season tickets worthless. Or something along those lines. Thanks.

Only just seen this Listy, there were a few there taking notes, I wasn't one of them, so can't give a full update on what was said.
All that was said on the season tickets was that they are not announcing anything on them yet, but current season ticket holders will be offered a discount on them in the next two months or so (I realise this doesn't answer the point you wanted addressing)
Three other points that jumped out at me
1) David Hughes said that there was an agreement with the RFL that wasn't fulfilled and that the RFL were aware of this
2) Part of that agreement was that some players were coming to us as part of the arrangements with "Lenegan", he named these as Lee Mossop, Josh Charnley and Chris Tuson. However, the Wigan coaching staff hadn't been consulted on this, so once aware, they reneged on this
3) We are still actively recruiting one more body, this will be a forward

| Plus:
1.. Squad is complete unless negotiations with one other party (Aussie) are successful
2.. Shirts will be from a manufacturer not used in RL as yet, but are used in RU and FA, and will not be out for Christmas
3.. Details of rebranding and season tickets will be released at the same time, in a few weeks time
4.. Squad depth was an issue, where there weren't enough players available to cover for underperforming players
5.. Choice not to play Under 20's instead of underperforming players was Rob Powell's, not a condition of loan agreements, and he felt that playing guys he wasn't sure could make the step up would potentially cause them lasting damage
6.. We are at the Stoop for next year, the last year of the current agreement, with negotiations for another 3 year tenancy in progress
7.. Quins RU had the option to buy into Quins RL to the tune of 51% for £1 which they chose not to exercise, and are showing no interest in the RL organisation
8.. I think I heard that the cost of renting the Stoop is 200k per year
9.. A marketing plan is present for next season, including utilising an RL srategic area fiund (France, London, Wales) - Gus expects to contact Gutterfax, should be entertaining
10.. On the road games are part of the marketing strategy
11.. Evening Standard partnership is seen as successful, with - if I heard correctly, a 35% revisit rate after the free ticket
12.. The club did a lot of research on the signings, specifically mentioning (wryly) Gower's off field activities, but countering with only positive feedback on his training, commitment and leadership, and that all of them - except presumably the Crusaders recruits - having been planned for some time.
13.. We expect to upgrade some Under 20's contracts assuming all goes well
I'm sure there's more, but that's all I remember.

This could be very entertaining, what will give first? Gus's patience or Gutterfax's ego?
Really I do hope this works and hat's off to the club for thinking imaginatively, could this be the making of Gutters, poacher turned gamekeeper?

Much appreciated
Any ideas who this Aussie forward (I'm assuming a prop) is?
Chris Armit?

It was a 35% attendance on the take up of 1000 tickets which means there would be around 350 extra in the ground. Gus Mackay said that speaking to people in the industry that these results were actually pretty healthy.

I suspect they are a company Gus dealt with in his cricket days.

They also supply a lot of middle eastern teams are you sure they're not called Burka, may get increased shirt sales in neighbouring Hounslow.

And I thought that information had and was being kept under wraps for the time being, yes more cricket association they are known for! designs will be interesting to see and the quality with them only being in rugby at the low end level so far.
