| Sad to see Ellis go! it was bad enough seeing Rob Purdham have to return home, I wonder if it was Andy's choice? has he had his two seasons with us and wants to return home to friends and family.

| Hilarious, what is Ellis thinking? He could easily play for a top side, yet he elects to sign for Wakefield Good luck.
I assumed Worrincy would head to Widnes tbh.

It is bizarrre, maybe he has been offered more money, or he is desperate to get back up north.

Not many times I agree with you Dave, but for me if I was Andy Ellis I would be a little desperate to sign for Wakefield currently, it has be made clear and I feel directed at them that clubs with a C rating are not guaranteed to stay in Super League for the next 3 seasons, they can be kicked out at any time! someone like Ellis should be with a top 5 club if he really wanted to leave!
Worrincy, no thanks!

Why don't we wait and see what really has happened. Hear he has already been interviewed by one of the RL papers

| Well you don't mind a player moving to a better side, but even if Wakefield match the London clubs spending plans for 2012 this move for Andy Ellis must be considered a sideways move at best, even considering that Wakey have more fans than us. Wouldn't have cared if he had gone to Leeds or a big club, but one that could have gone down is really quite beguiling. Hopefully this is a sign that Wakefield will be ramping up for 2012 and we have a proper 14 team competition, not the 11 team comp that we've had this year.
Reckon Ellis must have got tired waiting for one of the big boys to come in for him, but no disguising the fact that we have lost one of our better players to one of the few teams that have been worse than us this year. Andy Ellis, you may think you're better than London, but you are sure as hell better than Wakefield. Must have got a good deal to make up for his years as a part-timer with Hull KR and Barrow.

Seem to recall that he was stated as happy to sign a new quins contract a short time ago....................

Which Worrincy is this we've signed because I was reading a national newspaper online, think it was the Guardian and they said we could do alot worse than re-sign Rob Worrincy into the club, and having watched a fair bit of the championship he seems lively, scores hatfuls and was compared to Martin Offiah for his exploits this season for Halifax. Any mileage in getting two London trained players back to the club, surely Michael has improved his defence after a year in the NSW Cup. London born, London trained, London 2012, think the Worrincy brothers might be a better coup than people seem to think.

| I have sat watching the comments regarding Andy over whether he would stay or go over the last few weeks knowing that he had not been offered a contract for next season. It was difficult not to respond knowing the way the club had treated him and the announcement of the signing of Randall, in my view, was the catalyst (Not for nothing is he known as Director of Rugby). There is only room for one hooker at this club! And you would think that he should be the one who virtually tops all the opta stats this season, in spite of having to play second row when DOR decides he wants to play hooker.
At the end of the day I would say that opting for Wakefield is a step up on were we are at the moment especially if the new owners there are able to put more money in. I really have not seen us in such dire straights player wise since the advent of SL (bring back Frankie Napoli).
I post this as someone who has supported the club through thick and thin over the last 16 years and has, until now, resisted the urge to "have a go".

Why would the club not want to keep one of the precious few good players we have. I had assumed if Ellis went it would be becuase he had been snapped up by a top club and understandably preferred to develop his talents there. To think he is going to Wakefield without us even offering him a new deal is remarkable.

| What a bunch of . Do we have any ambition left? When Hughes came out on the pitch last year to declare the club was saved, I thought it was the turning point. Right now, i'm half wondering if we'd all be better off (financially) if we just did a Crusaders.
Not sure it can get much worse. Where is the incentive to get a season ticket next year?
