| Didn't london broncos go into liquidation? Does that somehow prevent us using that name?
If so we could try FC Broncos of London or RLFC Broncos of London if people prefered it

Luck is a combination of preparation and opportunity
Just to avoid confusion Starbug is the username of Steven Pike
SOMEBODY SAID that it couldn’t be done
But he with a chuckle replied
That “maybe it couldn’t,” but he would be one
Who wouldn’t say so till he’d tried.
So he buckled right in with the trace of a grin
On his face. If he worried he hid it.
He started to sing as he tackled the thing
That couldn’t be done, and he did it!:9005.jpg |

| I always fancied London City myself. It is memorable and has a lot of tie-ins.

I may be wrong.....but I believe we were never the Broncos officially. Something about when the Brisbane tie in ended and the Denver lot geting involved (or something along those lines)
We had a horse as our badge, london on top and RLFC underneath.....I believe the club were London RFLC when they went under. Not sure, but I know post 2001 the word broncos didn't appear on the badge at all.
Why not just call ourselves London. I still think Fulham would be good.......

Black Backgrounds/Zoot.gif Freedom for supporters of the government, only for members of one party - however numerous they may be - is no freedom at all. freedom is always and exclusively for one who thinks differently.

That's right - I think Brisbane have an official agreement with Denver Broncos to use the name.

1649_1338292262.jpg I have followed the LONDON CLUB since I was in my teensl even though born in St Helens and still live nearby and went to the first game at Fulham, also Big West Ham Supporter:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_1649.jpg |

| We seem to be accepted we Have to change the name of the club for survival and break away from the Harlequins brand which has simply not worked with RL, in the end it may need us to break away completely from The Stoop will a name change be sufficient? LONDON RUGBY LEAGUE, or FULHAM but that depends on the ground we play at!

"London Whim". Just about sums up the entire thread. And the one about moving to another random home. Again.

| London Chimera.
I'm getting the feeling that fans who have seen more than one move, see another move or name change as a very poor option, whereas fans who have only gone from Broncos to Quins or have only known Harlequins see change as a good move.

| Quote: Dave Lister "Interesting theory.'"
Change, if it happens, need to be for the right reasons.
I really believed the hype when we moved 3 miles from Brentford to the stoop and I still say that if IL hadn't bought Wigan this thread wouldn't be needed.
As it is, we moved to the stoop and for a number of reasons including Pail Browns illness, IL to Wigan etc...the opportunity was missed. What was needed was a big, well planned and executed campaign across the borough and surrounding areas.......wehat we got was nothing at all.
My concern this time is that if the club move again and change their name...then it has to be backed by massive investment in Marketing and Promotion. In fact, I'd go so far as to say that if there wasn't a minimum of 500k available to market a "new" club in a new area then don't bother.

| If there was half a million available I would hope it would be used to improve the squad, then the team can sell itself
I think this thread is a more lighthearted one just about a new name rather than a doomsday prediction of the franchise, so no harm in suggesting new names.
Thanks for clearing up about the broncos name, though I guess if we ever want that name back we have to plead with the Denver NFL team
