| I already have to get two trains home Windy. An additional mode of transport would kill me.

BTW, the shop can't be more expensive than what we are used to down here. As it was an "event" day in Twickers for our last home game, all the pubs whacked their prices up (bleedin liberty). £18 for 3 pints and a glass of wine in a dingy boozer. Almost makes me want to turn tee-total.
No problem. If you have time, they do a nice pint of Tim Taylors Landlord in the pub opposite the station.
If you Get into Wakey early and you like your beer, try the Brewery Tap, it's sort of on the way to the ground. Loads of hand pulled real ales and a seperate continental beer bar in the same building.
Prices! Got stung £19 for two hot dogs and two wines at Wenbley Arena a few weeks ago, I'll have to stop the hot dogs.

Is the Brewery Tap still going - I seem to remember last year it was either shut or didn't have any beer!

Are you sure you went to the right place?
Don't think it'll have run out of beer, at least four of their own on at any one time. If you went before twelve it will have been shut.

Down the hill and on the right in a side street?

I actually sent off a letter of complaint to Wetherspoons over that, emphasising the fact we drink in there before every home match, and have never been subjected to that sort of shabby treatment. £3.80 for a pint of Fosters - in a Wetherspoons. Apparently they jack the prices up for "commercial and operational reasons". The thing that really made me fume was they didn't display any warning at all, prompting classical "how much?!"'s from RL supporters.

Sounds like "Fernandes' Brewery Tap". It's like going up a staircase into someone's house; half way up the stairs there is a bar to the right visible through a window (continental beers bar) which only opens in the evenings. Keep going up the stairs for the main bar, through a solid door at the top of the staircase, with ten+ handpumps plus all sorts of other delights. Not as good as five years ago when they used to do free nibbles of black pudding, pork pies etc. on a Sunday lunchtime, but pretty good nonetheless.
