I'm not sure how you can gauge that from the commentary, but something has to change in the halves. And seeing how Mellor has cleared off already, I'm struggling to think what could be done. Our threadbare squad is going to be our downfall this season. No means of rotation, no means of mixing it up. It seems like its a struggle to pick a competitive 17 already. Apparently nobody got injured today which is one good thing I suppose...

His attitude wasn't very good, and for one of the senior players in the squad, giving away ridiculous penalties that cost us tries (especially the one when he went and berated the TJ). Maybe we could give Edwards/Sarginson a chance in the halves, at least we know we'll get 100% effort from local lads (such as Bryan gave today.)

I'd love to see them given a chance. We hear about all these wonderful players, yet never see them!

That's fine so long as everyone is willing to give them a couple of years, and doesn't expect them to perform immediately. Look how long it has taken for Gale to attract any good comments - for his first 30 odd games all I remember hearing was that he wasn't good enough.

I said Gale was good enough when he first got here, HTH. =]

I'm still not entirely convinced by Gale, needs more consistency. A marked improvement on last year though.
