| Quote: tim791 "Yeah he controlled the game well, talked to Clubby after the game about him, hes saying hes here for another 6 months on trail, hes training with the first team, "one heck of a good player" was his words, he speaks no english, Mbu translates for him. The club can then sign him permantly at the end of the season if they wish, Clubb said that he seemed to get along well with Brian.
Lamont looked quite good yesterday aswell, he scored twice, made some darting runs.
O'Callaghan had a very good game at fullback imo, quick, broke a few tackles, (iirc, scored directly from the kick off).
Gale looked decent, quick at hooker, Skee wasn't a standout performer,
Some ginger kid, i dont know who he is seemed quite good also, Centre.
I think it was Luke May that was playing on the other Centre, and was quite good also.
Sure i read on another forum he was here for 2 years,as part of a link-up Quins RL have now with Avignon? Or have i got him mixed up with another French lad?

[quote="TheBigFella":1jjuuzre]Im a Northerner and Ive got HD. C0ck. We could also probably buy 3 to 4 houses for what you would pay for 1, doesnt that tell you something.[/quote:1jjuuzre]

| Tony came over to play & train with Quins last year, not 2 years ago. He qualifies for under 18 but club plan to use him at Reserve grade (played for U18s 2 weeks ago). He does speak English, this is one of the requirements of the club for any player (his colleague who also came over last season was found to have insufficient English to understand training sessions and this was one of the reasons he did not come back this year).
Tony was in the initial squad for the France/England test in Paris and has had another SL club interested in him but preferred Quins after his experience here last year.
He plays for SOA (Sporting Olympique Avignon) in the French LER competition & both clubs hope for more player exchanges in the future. (One 14 year old is already being monitored in the SOA juniors & may be the next player to come & try Quins & Quins U18s may play in France later this year.)
Doubtful he'll be here 6 months but can't say why at present.

So are you saying we are helping the French club out by schooling their player, or is he a player we are considering signing who we are trialing?
