| Nobody has posted cuz there wasn't anyone to witness the game. I'm a massive supporter of Saturday 3pm as your main KO time but please have some common sense. We've had 4 home games and they've all clashed with major sporting events. The first two
With England ru. The third with England soccer and Saturday with the grand national. Utterly ridiculous. R

| Quote: Chris Brown "The argument for Saturday 3pm kickoffs was so that more away fans could travel
I haev argued this point but yesterday suggests that 500 Huddersfield fans proved this correct
Problem is that clearly the Quins are NOT supporting the Saturday 3pm's. 2000 home fans is a massive cause for concern
Be fascinating to know what on earth the club are going to do to address this issue. Problem is that having done nothing at all through the winter its probably too late to make a difference this season'"
4th round of challenge cup always draws poor crowds, saturday or sunday. Stop jumping on it just cos youre a soccer fan not an rl fan.

| 17,000 packed into Headingley today to see Saints knock Leeds out of the cup by a slender margin.
Maybe McDermott isn't worried as he wishes to concentrate on Super League...

You are right, I am a soccer fan. I would liek to have continued to be both but sadly that is a species not valued by Quins.
Must be because there are just thousands of people choosing RL in London over football
Time to wake up and smell the roses, it matters not whether its Challenge Cup or not, the crowds are appalling and absolutely nothing is being done about it.
All we hear is reasons why they are not bigger. Its action to increase them that is needed urgently not excuses and telling people there are soccer fans rather than RL fans
There is a chance to appeal to fans and get them to support BOTH sports but not by playing at the same time. I have said it before but no other RL club chooses this bizarre strategy

Pushing water uphill: |

| Jeez, I was at QPR 0 Crystal Palace 0 yesterday and I wish I had watched us getting stuffed by Uddersfield instead. It won't be a problem from now on as I'm letting my QPR season ticket lapse. £800 for me and Master Sheen to watch one up football surrounded by people so angry and sour they make Dave Lister sound like a Ceebeebies presenter? He refused to come with me any more a few weeks ago and I can't blame him. So Bridgend on Easter Monday instead of Sheffield Wednesday at home. Can't wait.

There is the difference, my lot (owned and funded by Ian Lenegan still) have taken 41 points from the last 48 with 13 wins, 2 draws and a loss from the last 16 games.
Put the buzz into context, there were more Oxford United fans at the away game at Stevenage last week than Quins RL fans at the Stoop on Saturday.
Surely that is embarrassing isn't it, more away fans at a game in the 5th league of English football than home fans at a Super League clubs home game.

| As for Brain Mc not being worried too much as he is concentrating on SL
I do believe at the pre season presentation, the words "I want to see the Harlequins walk out at wembley this year" was heard, admittedly not from Brian
The big worry I see with this game is not the result but the crowd, i understand lack of interest had it been a team like York (my home team by the way) coming down but this was an all SL tie, should have had more folk there
Thus night could be very interesting

| My big concern is many fans are not there because of the switch to the East stand plus the new seat allocations which appear to be alienating people. We cant afford to be doing this imo.

| Huddersfield are a very good side. Chatting with their fans after the game, they believe that this year they will easily make the play-offs and I have to agree with them. Very big, but mobile pack and great handling by everyone on the park.
We were bad on Saturday, but I have to say, I think Huddersfield would have beaten most teams playing as well as they did.
As for Thaler...the man is an incompetent idiot. He marched Hudds down the pitch for their first 2 tries and although his stupidity didn't affect the outcome of the game, he really was terrible.
On the thorny issue of attendence, 2,500 is a disgrace and something has to be done NOW not later to sort this out. Regardless of where we are made to sit, we really need to be getting 4,000 HOME fans to every game. I think Thursday will see a sub 2,000 crowd which, regardless of time and day, is disgusting, embarrasing and shows up the lack of activity in marketing the game. I don't care about community awards and coaching Kids, bums on seats are what is needed.
We are currently averaging 3,560 a game....down from 5,407 compared to the three games last year.
It is no longer acceptable for the club to keep saying everything is OK.....because it's not. As long as the management of the club refuse to spend any cash on above the line marketing, then we will struggle to fill even the one stand.
The club have had offers from me and other people who are far more experienced then me, to assist with the marketing of the game, but to no avail. Simple little thing, done properly and with enthusiasm and passion will get results, but I dispair at the patent lack of activity ABOVE THE LINE.

If its so embarrassing why do you bother? You cant compare the two sports. I find it amazing the amount of people on here that moan about our attendances but dont actually make the effort to come to what amounts to 13 or 14 home games A YEAR. You are the problem, not the marketing, uncomitted fans who claim to love RL but dont follow it up with the support that the club and the sport deserves and needs so much more than most. You just come on here and moan about niggly little problems and justify your dumb reasons for not coming to games.
With fans like these......

| Get your head out of the sand. There was 1900 people there on Saturday.........FACT
Saturday was chosen by the club because it attracts the best attendances..........FACT
Comparative attendances on last years equivalents are 2000 down on last season .......FACT
Nothing has been done in the last 6 months to address this........FACT
No Super League club can survive on such dreadful crowds........ Suspect this is a FACT
As for me, this is not about me. Sadly I have yet to be able to come to a match this season even if I had wanted to, the first option for me is SUNDAY 17 May which I will attend. I DO NOT GO TO GAMES ANY LONGER BECAUSE I CAN'T !!!!! And it appears that I am not the only one unable or unwilling to go this season.
I live 60 miles from the ground and have travelled to most home games for the last 5 seasons, sorry that you blame the likes of me for the clubs plight. And I have to apologise for expecting the club to have marketed the sport, how could I possibly have blamed anyone other than me for that. My season tickets lapsed and nobody from the club has contacted me from that day to now. You may think that is OK but its pathetic.
I am also very worried that you see our crowd level as a 'niggly little problem'. You are just the sort of fan the club needs..........well done !!
You keep your head in the sand and keep that belief that the current direction doesn't need to change

| The club should always aim for sat 3pm kick offs as they are the best for all. BUT playing at the same time as the weekend's major national sporting event is foolish.
None of this season's games have been played at a sensible day/time. This club has far too many lapsed fans and getting them to come back should be key.
