And staggeringly, the stand will be half empty, as usual.

To be fair that is a bit unfair. Its about what is fair and reasonable and some people miht not think its right or actually just may be not be in a position to fork out another £10 to support this event
Its a bit unfair to describe people as tight, the club need to ENcourage fans rather than DIScourage them at the end of the day
Will putting the price up £10 ENcourage them. I suspect the majority view would be no

| Quote: markrammond "I travel to every game, home and away, over 6500 miles a year to see my team. Many teams selfishly host the fixture on a Friday night, charge nearly £20 for a crumbling terrace, offer no adequate facilities for a beer and nothing after the match. I would say that £25 for a seat to watch two top level Rugby games, a live band, a good seat and decent people is a fair deal. Personally speaking you go to London and you pay London prices. A lot of floating away supporters have turned their back to go to France whereby £10 will not even get you two beers. These same whingers will then slag Quins off for low crowds. ] It is five years since Sts took a big mob to our ground]. I wouldn't like us to alienate either of the Hulls or Wigan as they bring 1000. But why should we let people pick and choose on a Rugby United day. Do these people write to Murrayfield asking for a special exemption? No, so pay up or stay in the Black Bull and enjoy the warm feeling of saving your tenner. Great supporters, only 5 times a year is it hard to get to the game and you don't bother. The ground will fill and better it be League than Union, but I don't care just don't hassle the club for your petty narrow minded selfish interests'"
I dont believe that to be true but its pretty ironic given the most you ever brought to our place was about 40 in the play offs. That is probably a generous estimate as well.

Since you don't tell us, I'll have to assume that "our place" is Knowsley Road. If so, I was one of the "40" and your estimate is far from generous. Get your basic facts right before you post on here again please.

Faire enough. Over here the NRL do it with their "double headers".
They are also known to inflate their attendance figures anyway.

I would say 400 easily...But this is the Saints calculator....you know, the one they use when getting under the cap

1. £25 is the normal fee for a Quins Union match so as a Union fan if you are prepared to hang about you get to see free superleague, if you aren't you pay exactly the same as you would week in week out.'"
As a season ticket holder i have already paid for my RL seat and i'm getting to see a Union game which would have cost me £25 for free !!!
I am being rewarded for my loyalty to the club - i can't see this as a negative in any way.
I'm going to Bradford tonight and if it is raining i will probably get a seat in the stands and will be looking at paying £25 for the privelidge. Odsal is not a patch on The Stoop for facilities, but that does not change the price of the seat. I fully agree with everything markrammond has said.

How can they do that? If RU fans decide to stay and watch to see if they like league who would not have normally come would that count? If union fans stay for 10 minutes and leave due to not liking the product does that count? How can you possibly calculate any stats from the day?

As a season ticket holder this issue doesn't affect me, but that's exactly what most non-ST holders will do; except they won't bother commenting about it on here, their support will just be lost, for this game and possibly further games as a result. It looks like there will be no pay on the day tickets available, even to people willing to pay £25. And as usual the "elite hard core" supporters on here just look down and sneer at anyone who refuses to blindly pay whatever they're asked. As if the club can afford to lose any more support.

| Just out of interest, have seats for the Union game been kept back for League ST holders? I assume they must have been, or else the ground could be over capacity?

League Season Ticket holders (X) have been allocated seats in the South Stand. They just have to be claimed. Therefore there are X number of seats accounted for.

Our STHs had to exchange the relevant voucher for a match ticket in advance. The email I received from the club is quoted verbatim below"Saturday 10th April sees Harlequins RL take on St Helens; KO 6pm in the Super League. Harlequins RU have also now re-arranged their match against Leeds Carnegie and so the day is now a very exciting ‘Rugby United’ double header and is an excellent example of how both Clubs are working in partnership. The day kicks off at 2pm and your Bronze Season Ticket is valid for both matches.
However there are a few changes to the seating arrangements for the two matches
· You will be able to sit in any of the stands but not in the middle three blocks of the LV

| I couldn't be bothered with doing that, so can I just rock up? Sounds like the South Stand will be available for people like me then?

| I was told that RL Season ticket holders could only get seats in the South Stand for the first match.
