On Sky, programme starts at 5.15 U.K. time.
Will be traveling across Ireland on Saturday, place we're staying in has a Sky subscription- hoping not to get stuck behind any tractors on the country roads !

| We have Chris Kendall as our referee on Saturday. Robert Hicks is our video ref.

| The referees head (Ganson) needs to look at the bunker in Australia. The video refs last week on BBC were embarrassing to say the least.
They go looking for to much instead of just looking at what the ref asks for. If the try is scored from a kick and the ref asks for grounding just look at grounding and not go looking at onside offside. The ref would ask for that if unsure.

| Ok question for you WQ the RFL go down the route of JUST looking at what the ref asks for like the grounding. Grounding is fine but in the playback it's obvious that a player us offside, what happens?
Watch Aus rugby, watch every try, look how long it takes for them to award a try! Why do they go through thus whole dance of looking left, looking right at the TJ,s then checking with the pocket ref? Checking for feedback? Or waiting for the bunker to say we need to look at It?
I would rather let the VR look for offside, at all kicks to prevent any embarrassing headlines.

| Look at the other option, ref asks VR to look for player in touch, while they are looking, it's obvious the hand came off the ball on grounding so knock on. If ref has not asked for it are you suggesting it's ignored?
I think the problem is not the VR it's the fact we now get to listen to his deliberations.

| Last week in the Leeds game a try was cancelled because they went looking for a variety of things the ref hadn't asked for. The one where Briscoe was touched in mid air or something like that. The commentators weren't sure
The referee looks left and right and then can go to VR or give the try. (in addition they are all talking to each other). That doesn't change plus the ref can ask multiple questions.
As I said last week was embarrassing listening to Hicks. Not only was he talking cr$p he clearly wasn't competent in working with the camera crew.

| The vid ref does not work with the camera crews at all, he is asking the producer to give him the angles, he needs to see, he also HAS to see all available camera angles. Why did it look so disjointed? It was BBC who cover how many games a season? Sky are pretty slick now.
In our game, the ref checks with his TJ either side before giving the try and yes in SL they are on intercom. My point is, in NRL they wait till they get the nod from the bunker before giving the try, do we want our game to go that way.
The thing to think about, fans are really quick to jump on the back of the ref when they miss something in open play, so in the event of a try if the ref has missed something, why not let the vid ref highlight It? The protocol to check everything was brought in because of several issues where the ref called for VR for one thing, but had missed something else, fans then see that on the over and over replay, refs are in the wrong again.

| So question WQ
Ref asks VR for touch in goal call, ball clearly lands in goal not touch in goal but it's a clear knock on, ref gas not asked VR to check grounding, just was it in goal or dead in goal, should the VR then ignore the KO

| As for the commentators on the Leeds game, don't get me wrong I like Dave woods but he needs to catch up, we play in mtrs in this game not yards as he kept saying.

| Hello Broncos fans .I hope you enjoy the trip. With only 2 French players in the starting 13 plus 3 more in the interchange this is the strongest dragons squad all season-we have been massively hit by injuries. So if you win you shall have done very well indeed.

| Was it not the BBC who started broadcasting the video refs comments. It did seem messy at the weekend, but only because the VR talked through his process. More transparent than Sky, where everyone gets to make their mind up which may then agree or disagree with the decision made.
Most grounds were built with pitches in yards, has the use of metres resulted in smaller run off areas or were the in goal areas previously 10yards ( now 8 metres)

And a possibility that during parts of the game Broncos could have more French players on the field than Catalans. Hopefully a close game but Cats wshould have too much for us, though stranger things have happened.

| But rugby league is played in mtrs
Defensive line 10 mtrs not 10 yards, defender in front of kicker, give 10 means 10 mtrs not 10 yards. Restarts ball has to travel 10mtrs not yards.
Field dimensions are measured in mtrs not yards that includes in goal area. My point is the commentators not knowing what the VR is meant to look at is not surprising when they can't even get a basic principle of the game.
Listening to the VR at least we know what they are looking at.

| If Catalan were to lose to use. Their next game being away at Warrington. Which I cannot see them winning. You would think that they would then be in a spot of bother.
