I enjoyed the game,didn't think it was going to be much of a competition but you really got stuck in,like other teams you need to be consistent,thats were we have improved greatly this year,you don't always have to be the best team,but if you can be the most consistent you will always have a great chance.
Hope your season gets a kick start from now on(wait until you've played us first).

I thought Orr was excellent got through a mountain of work and didnt make any mistakes. And yes Gale had his best game so far for us, looked good. Purdo really needs to move back to LF now he's got some match fitness, we miss a bit of creativity in the forwards. Although saying that there were more offloads in this game than Ive seen us do all season so far.

Key point, this sort of thing makes us far more dangerous and unpredictable with ball in hand.

Is it a coincidence that we have a vastly improved performance at the same time as we have had a vastly improved attendance, also in tandam with finally having, if only for the short term a quality replacement for Jon Wells in Kevin Penny???

Do we assume that Penny will be held back from Saturday's game as Wire won't want him cup tied?

As the loan deal is for an initial one month to start I'd say its a "yes"

i wish i knew what the story is with penny and the wire. didn't see the game on saturday, but i was really pleased that he is being praised. he used to get his fair bit of stick from the south stand, some of it justified, the majority of it not, and i hope he manages to get a few tries for the quins, and that he stays longer than the month deal. i'd like to see him back at the wire, but if that doesn't happen, i hope he will consider coming down to quins permanantly and try to make a difference for you.

Im hoping he comes permanently.

As we are short on quality players and not having the high expectations of the Wire fans I think he'll find us a little more forgiving for the odd shortcoming as long as he scores the tries. Lets face it we are not going to make the playoffs now so lets go for entertainment!!!!

I've just watched a recording of the Superleague Show. Jesus H Christ, how far forward was that long pass for Saints' first try? It was released from three yards behind the 20 metre line and received goalside of it! Glenn Hoddle would have been proud of that! For the match officials to fail to notice that is embarrassing.

i come down when i can. i had a season ticket for a couple of years, but don't really use it enough to justify it. it may happen again though. went to st. mary's so built up some fairly strong ties with the club. want them to be a success, as rugby league in london needs it, but there is something endemically wrong at the moment. i hope they can fix it, and saturdays performance was a glimmer of hope. league wins have to come quickly though.

i was at the first game of the season at the hj, and although pleased that warrington won was dumfounded at the quins display. not quite as bad as ours at the stoop last year, but not far off....

If you can always play a team that has played a game more than you in the last eight days, you're season should start to look up .
