| Gower played well for the Knights off the bench in his first game back in the NRL this morning. A tough, exciting encounter and in front of a good crown. In the No20 jersey played standoff when on the field and hooker in the scrum. Melbourne 16-14 Newcastle. At least he didn't Storm off at the end for once... I'll get my coat...

Gower needs to be the starting scrum half in the next game. He may well get the selection. Wayne Bennett told the post match press conference that he was happy with Gower's performance.
Gower will achieve a lot in a team like Newcastle, which is so much stronger than London. He will have quality players around him, and so he can make a difference.

Stunned we received not a penny for his registration. He spat his dummy out and wanted out....he should have been told that he could leave, but if he wanted to play League anywhere else, he'd need to buy his contract out.
Another example of our owner not having much business sense and his pet CEO being as much use as a chocolate teapot!
Good hard game that was....storm seem to be getting over their mid-season wobbles.

Thanks for the spoiler.
Watched match this afternoon. As I saw it, Gower had two spells, one around half time and also last 10 mins, played hooker (or dummy half if you like) both times. Did a lot of work in defence and made a couple of scoots from the PTB, one near the end close to Melbourne's line where he set off running right and the rest of the Knights just watched him, a bit of communication stuff needing sorting. Looked in very good shape, though the Channel 9 commentator was under the impression that he hadn't played since the game against Fev in April. Actually played against Cas on June 1.
Match intensity about 10x what we get at The Stoop.

simpsons/017.jpg Welcome Quins Kitties born 02.04.09 -
Purdo - Determined, loveable with a "can-do" attitude. A born leader.
Louie - Big, white and fluffy. A very noisy prop forward.
Harley- Cute and gorgeous (just like our no.9) Well, I couldn't call her Chad, could I?
Update on Quins Mogs :-
Purdo - deffo leader amongst Mogs. The Capo.
Louie - turned out to be more like Louie Spence than LMS. Re-named Judas.
Harley - Cute but not as gorgeous as our no.9.
Oh well, at least I haven't got a Willy.:simpsons/017.jpg |

| We watched it.
Couple of things...they commented that CG looked fit and also said that him going to Newcastle was the NRLs worst kept secret.
Seems to me that CG had been wanting out for some time and being dropped as Captain was nothing to do with his departure.
Although Growler gave his all when he played for London, ultimately, I think he has let us, his team mates and DH down for not seeing out his contract.
On the other hand, I reckon all our players would go if they had offers elsewhere, sadly.
CG isn't the ultimate proffessional after all, imo.
