Red Bull have upset a few people along the way in sport. When they took over what is now Red Bull Salzburg a supporters group broke away and re-formed the old team in non league football. They are now climbing the non league pyramid.

I suspect we'd be a bit less upset if similar were to happen. Pragmatism suggests we couldn't afford to say no really. |

Big company, with a history of buying sports clubs, running them well, and winning trophies. Taking on a basket case RL club and turning it around. Sounds good to me. |

I could just about stomach "London Red Bulls". After all, there's "New York Red Bulls" association football team.
If it can make a real difference and help make the club successful and pull in the crowds I don't really care. The downside with having sponsors as part of the club name is that sponsorship deals tend to run their course, then you're faced with yet another change of identity. |

That's true. If they are interested, then I'd rather it be a long shirt sponsorship deal and a stake in the club. That would be far more beneficial than another name change. |
