| Bit of a nothing statement from Hughes just released. Acknowledges the need to improve off-field standards and that's about it.
Appreciate the club has a lot to work through currently and there's a need for patience, but his statement in the immediate aftermath of the Toulouse didn't inspire me with much confidence i.e. "I hope more people turn up next season".
Hopefully there is a plan and it does sound like IMG have been engaging with the club on the path forward which is a plus.

Think it’s more about tone Knocker. Some have acted like big babies, he has taken it on the chin. Now we need to have a good old think about how to run and market an RL team in London. In no ways easy but my feeling is we could a lot better. And of course pay for an LED screen, why that’s almost as good as winning the Challenge Cup.

On the plus side whilst when it comes to RL players London may not be be a hive of activity or a centre of expertise when it comes to off field stuff like business strategy and comms. And marketing etc it’s very difficult to see a host of places with more experts. All we need to do now is access that talent ... and obviously a big screen fitter.

| It's really hard to say that I wasn't screaming warning about this nearly 15 years ago but sadly I was right and sadly, I was referred to as one of a few old blokes ranting on the internet by Hughes and co at the start of last season.
I sincerely hope Hughes takes next year's funding and banks it for use over the years 2026/7/8 as a marketing budget. The club are already relegated in 2025 so better to regroup and properly relaunch in 2026 in the 2nd tier and most likely at Ebbsfleet. Being at Wimbledon has delivered no benefit at all...none....nada.....nil.
As a fan of the team I'm gutted.....as for the club? It's hard not to chuckle given the miles of posts on here, elsewhere, email, meetings etc when I predicted this

| With the gradings released today and the criteria for 2025, there is now way London are going to be able to sign any decent ovdrseas players. How many overseas players are going to uproot to move for 9 months.
The celebrations from the play off game have already been diluted by news today.I was going to maybe purchase a season ticket again but no point. It must be hard for the players for next season knowing that whatever performances they put in, the end result will be the same.

Blimey Mr Orange, humility isn't really your thing, is it? You were far from the only person to predict this.

More than diluted for me.
What was the point in gaining promotion this season? Or this season at all? What's the point in the whole of next season?
(And not just for us either. Just put the highest IMG scorers in Super League now and get on with it.)

| Looks like the club have missed the one week window where they could have pushed season tickets hard.

| No question it’s a dampener to find we are a worse prospect than a defunct club amongst others and we desperately needed to sustain the feel good momentum of the MPG win so thanks for that IMG but there’s loads of things for us to worry about for the upcoming season not least whether being an unprepared entrant into SL might leave us in a weaker place by seasons end than if we had bowed out at the Semis stage. Let’s not worry too much about 2025 yet. Let’s see what the club gets up to re recruitment and improving all the off field stuff they have handled badly over recent seasons- shirt sponsors anyone? If they do that and we are relegated after performing creditably and giving fans value for money then so be it as per 2019 - there will be points of interest. If it’s week after week of beatings on a Thursday night to small crowds then frankly would we want to be in SL anyway? Important weeks here for the LB brains trust let’s just focus on the immediate task in hand but if we want to plan for the future then IMG have helpfully told us what we need to do - it’s a long list as per multiple posts on multiple threads.
