It'll be Cunningham in the halves with Abdul with Pelissier & Fozzad at hooker as things stand.

I'd guess we'll sign a loanee from Saints or Wigan, not sure who their half-back reserves are off the top of my head.

Wigan have Shorrocks & Woods in the first team squad, with Harry Smith in the U19s, but a bit early for him. Possibly Woods as Shorrocks has been tipped as someone Lam wants to see more of.

Family is always #1, so good on him, although I'm still unsure as to why when he says they (the wife and kids) moved north in June, he was prepared to sign with us in November, only for the last minute change of heart.
Still, all the best JS........you got us to SL with your brothers and nothing will ever change that!

It is frustrating for him to leave, but he has to do what is best for him and his family. I am sure we all wish the best for him and thank him for all that he did for us.

His family are back up in York’s, he was out of contract.
Why such a shock that he has signed for someone!? If you are coming to the end of a contract don’t you start talking to new employers before the end date.

I agree this is not like Ackers but Sammut himself said he had agreed a deal with LB (but presumably not signed) and had even gone back into training. However, he's obviously had several offers on the table and chosen one which is closer to his family.
