The only time the club has made a shirt available before Christmas they weren't exactly in control of the product. Whether the economics of getting it out before Christmas just isn't worth it for the actual number of sales.

Still cannot understand why everyone thinks the club would be on to a bit of earner, those that buy the shirt be it for Xmas or otherwise will still buy it!

Mickey you make it sound like Xmas or should I say December is just an average month for consumer expenditure.

Have you considered some may be a little short of money in Jan.

WQ Not sure what you mean? The discussion is all about the club not having the shirts available for xmas and the suggestion that the club will lose shirt sales. Those that buy the replica shirts will generally buy it anyway, so the club will still get the income.

Does it matter which month they buy it in? If its that important to folk to be able to buy it as soon as its available may i suggest as a xmas present they put say £60 in an envelope as a christmas present with a note to say its to be spent on the shirt when it becomes available. That or dont buy it in Jan buy it in Feb.

FWIW my other half would get pretty short shrift if she resorted to buying me a broncos shirt for xmas every year even if they were available, where is the imagination and effort in that!!!

Maybe 6 year olds are easier to keep happy!

If you think that's the case Mick, why does every other company with product to push really give it the hard sell in the run up to Dec 25th?
Or maybe all these well run organisations getting it wrong- year in year out?

Hull KR, a club who are organised and professional. Launched their 2017 strip at the beginning of December, they have had record shirt sales, in addition to Season ticket sales exceeding 5000. That is the way to do it !!!!!!!!

They also sell 5000 shirts a year and without the money from those shirts and merchandise they would struggle massively due to the fact they have a high street store with rent/rates of £20,000 a year plus half a dozen full time staff

Bit of a daft comparison. At least compare to a club who sell like for like merchandise amounts.
