Was the move to the Hive so appalling?

What was appalling was the demolition of the club by the owner in the Autumn before the move. i'm yet to hear a reasonable explanation as to why Hughes did so much damage to the club before having a change of heart.

You arrived at the Hive with no staff and no players, you delivered nothing on the pitch and you are now too small to make use of the Hive sustainable. If the crowds and performances been maintained then the Hive would've seen more benefit in you staying and your bargaining position would be that much stronger. Kleanthous is a hard nosed business man who will always look for the best deal for his business, his calculation is he can make more money from hiring out the Banquetting suite and building an indoor sports hall instead of accommodating a Rugby club getting 200-300 attendances. Whose fault is that?

Apologies, you are quite right - i was refering to the whole move including the mess Broncos made of the move, the running down to team etc etc. It could have worked, but we never got our act in gear.........

Yet you berate Gutterfax who told everyone and anyone that it was that and he was shouted down. Even Hughes has admitted the 2nd year there was a strain...as Gutterfax said that was because AK wanted us gone because he wasn't getting another back hander.

The reality is that we should have never been in the situation where we were at the Hive! Hughes should have admitted his errors in appointing MacKay and Powell and spent money replacing them, but instead he kept throwing more money at the issue and was taking advice from nobody. The Name Change and then the Move were designed to protect the job of the CEO who everyone, even the most apologetic of apologists concede was a waste of space and inept!

Problem is, I suspect Hughes would still deny any wrong doing now if pressed on it!
