Quote: Starbug "Better still, Barnet employ and pay the marketing proffessional and keep 50% of whatever extra he brings in'"

Because we know little about the deal for 2014 and how 2015 will be different, I'd ask what their expectations were, their timescales and their budget. If you take this coming season as year dot, they may well have to "buy" customers.....as in spend more than the ticket price to sell the ticket. Then it's all about CRM and communications.
I'd target 3k then 3.5k averages.......and 30% more season tickets sold in 2015 than in 2013 as the goals for the next 2 years....

targetmarketing4u.co.uk/prices
A start for anyone unaware

You can target the whole of Harrow (242,400) and Barnet (331,500) for £28,126.

Would the sports pages/ web sites of the local free press be free and better than junk mail Leaflets?
Free press or leaflets will probably both have high percentages of not hitting the target but are just examples of mediums to exploit.
Gutterfax will be flying over forthwith to implement his 20 point plan. (Macnamara can commute so why not?!)
Stay where you are please GF and keep taking the medication.
I'm delighted they are at the Hive, and will be bringing my boots just in case!!
Please tell me Gus will not be there. This would be disastrous for Barnet and The Broncos and the fans.
I like the look of the main stand and the areas behind the trylines. Look forward to sampling the beers.
I'd love to see a return to the old quartered "Fosters"kit and last season's cup shirts for home and away strip and a return to the old Broncos logo, relatively recent but yet iconic and retro, not words normally associated with London Broncos.
But to be honest, I'd preferably settle for some more players!!

I'm not sure how many people these days really read local free press, here they end up mainly in the bins unread? leaflets pushed through doors would end up with the many different pizza leaflets that arrive each week!

Radio is far too expensive, but would be more effective than £28K on leaflets. We have got to get out into the local community, school visits, shopping malls etc, connect with people!

Even those tourist brochure that you get in shopping centres, supermarkets, post offices etc etc, get them made up and just left for people to discover.

In my view you have to target the schools in the area. Get as many playing as possible. Have events for schools like 7s comps etc before the main match on the pitch, that will bring in kids, teachers, friends and parents. Then with a bit of luck a competitive game to watch after, knock out a couple of t shirts for the kids which play, they'll wear them and advertise for free. Target a year group each week and get coaches into schools.

2 Problems with this are:
that London Broncos have done this...parents and kids are normally off before the main game kicks off.
London Broncos owner sees this as promoting the "game" in an expansion area, something the RFL should pay for.

There needs to be a documented and accountable plan for 2014 with set goals and targets. No more fluffy videos or "clever" marketing strategies.....but a lot of roll up your sleeves, get your hands dirty and work all the hours god gave enthusiasm!

I have to say, I would have had a bundle of stuff in place to be run over the weekend.....2014 shirt colours and design, season tickets, forum date, squad updates.....the last official update on FB was the HKR match report....the club site is not a lot better.
Steve Devonshire should have been the first call made to re-engage the social media channel

I heard that they were going to do the forum, but the plug was pulled because they saw this forum and the comments from people like GF made them say. Why put ourselves in front of that, when we have nothing to tell them.

Yep...because a poster 12,000 miles away is such an influence on the way a club is run d040.gif

BTW, what excuse would you have for the 3 Forums the ST holders from 2013 were promised not happening?
