Maybe nobody is to blame? Perhaps establishing top level professional RL in London is an impossible dream and we should all be thinking ourselves lucky that it's survived as long as it has and that we've had quite a few high points along the way.

Which other professional sports have established themselves at the top level in the capital? Football, cricket, RU (to a significant minority), boxing maybe, tennis (about 3 times a year), horse racing.

That's about it. Those that have made no lasting significant impact include US Football, basketball, ice hockey, speedway, wrestling, ...

whoever decided to award a franchise to a club without a long term stadium deal or business plan.

He tried to stop the rot. The club was broken when he came as it was when he left. He was someone who introduced a bit of buisiness mindset. Maybe if he was still here we would be in a better position.

The players. There's been enough quality to do a job this year, but they haven't done it. Tony Rae may or may not be a great coach, but he's going to do the best for the club, so I'm sure he'd work with the likes of Gower to structure the play. Whilst I have sympathy with those who see uncertainty as unreasonable (I'm one), the answer is to win and put yourself forwards. Etc.

Gus is making a comeback I see.
