You should read the whole thread. It could give you a new perspective on Super League, and on life in general.

| Hi Wire,
Howell scored just eight Super League tries between 2010 and 2012, with a 5, 0 and 3 contribution. He looked a bit better for a brief period last season.
O'Callaghan has 14 Super League tries from 81 games. He must have the worst win percentage in the competition with 15 wins from 81 games.
By comparison Clubb has 46 tries from 145 first class games - which includes many games as a forward/interchange player - and Sarginson 11 from 28 games.
I would not select Randall because he has poor statistical performances in that has missed over 250 tackles since the start of the 2011 season - about 1 in 5 of all attempted tackles - creates relatively few tries, only a handful per season and none this year and hardly ever scores, plus has only made 27 metres a game so far this season. I do not see what he offers in attack - I do not expect a James Roby, but this is exceptionally poor.
My thinking on the team Jean is that, given their previous strike rates, you'd be expecting about 10 tries per Clubb and Sarginson per season and a similar number from Colbon whilst both Dixon and Robertson would weigh in with around a try every two games, so this could take us to around 55-60 tries. Dorn could be scoring another 15 or so and perhaps about 5 from Gower would see us getting about 80ish, or at least three tries per game from the backs.
Just one try from the forwards per game and a 75% kicking rate would see us with 22 points or more per game and give us a chance some of the time.
Some of the more dubious defenders would obviously leak tries at an alarming rate but I think this keeps most of the weaker defenders out of the squad.
Cheers
Rammo

| Rammo are you Phil Clarkes researcher!! its a pity the game isnt played in a calculator.
Are you responsible for the nobby meter he had last year and the sh*tty traffic lights we have to tolerate this year
Wire and Leeds made more handling errors than all other teams last year!! hmmm
Chads stats dont show up to well thats for sure.

| Lots of good pts.
Lovell has potential. Seen some good things but some rookie errors.
Clubb was a storming who never seemed to have any intention to pass to his winger which made him easier to defend against. I believe last time he had a run there O'C was his wing man and never got the ball from him, one of the reasons for his low try rate.
Chad is a workman like player who can play lots of positions but is not creative. He is fine to start at Hooker if his replacement is well... a frenchman! The difference last season when Rinaldi came on was huge. Anyway Chad is fine if you have a good defensive team around him and are looking to hold the other team... however we aren't that defensive team!

Wow, Randall's stats are horrendous! How is he still in a job, let alone the first 13 ?

| You've got to be kidding...Chad is has been our top tackler for many years and usually the (or one of) the most effective.
Think those stats wrong...since 2011, Chad has made 1,510 and missed 90 (a success rate of around 95%). Are you getting mixed up with marker tackles? He's made 256 of those over the last 3 years.
Jeez, we don't need anyone trying to make our team look any worse than they are!

Whatever the stats say (and let's face it stats can be bent any way you want - just ask George Osborne!) but Chad's been dreadful for at least the last 3 seasons, a shadow of the player he used to be! You only had to see the impact made when Rinaldi would come off the bench last season to see how poor Chad is now, I couldn't see him getting a game at any other SL club. I'm not convinced that Tommy Lee's an adequate replacement either.

| Chad may have lost a bit of his zip (he's getting on a bit as we know) but I think it's only fair to set his record straight.
Always remember Brian Mac saying (more than once) that Chad was the best trainer and hardest worker...usually out-staying the others in the gym etc). Also, he's barely missed a game for us in 7 years which we cannot say about many of our current and previous players.
It seems to me that he's always tried his best for London so don't know why so many people snipe at him.
Anyhoo, as richie says, least of our problems at the moment.

| London's long march into the top 8 has just begun on the playing fields of Salford.
Hopefully Ben Fisher and Tommy Lee will be the regular hookers.
