Quote Moe Lester="Moe Lester"This sentence has got me thinking, are the fans doing enough? For as long as I've read this forum, there has been fans questioning the actions of those who work at the club. There has also been some very good suggestions to improve the club from many on here that either haven't been given to the club or ignored altogether when given to the club. Again, this thread sees people question the actions of the club. However, are the fans doing enough to put a bit of pressure onto those running the club or are the fans getting answers to their questions?
I feel that a supporters group need to start trying to work with the club and actually asking questions to those at the club.'"
For years, many many fans of the club have done varying things and made efforts to get the club on track...before my time I believe a house was put up against finance to assist the club to stay alive. The volunteer group was told that it wasn't needed any more a few years back, the RFL offered their marketing expertise for 1 day a week but the club ignored everything that was suggested, I negotiated a deal with a major UK company who have since partnered with METRO amongst others that would have raised funds for development, it was ignored.....METRO were receiving 150k a month from this deal 6 weeks later.....I reckon the club could have raised about 50k in year 1.
...in short, the club has burn bridges and ed off too many people too many times to be deserving of any help, IMO that is. We had an ally at METRO who moved to ES....we ignored that leverage.
Gus told me that my 20 point plan from 2009 (repeated 2010) was on the wall of the office.....they have never tried any of it.
The club now has a CEO and a PA to the CEO, as well as a couple of interns and a dance manager......my local Amateur RL club, Petone Panthers has a bigger infastructure.......and they get all the help I can give them and are grateful for it........
London Broncos are lazy when it comes to back office stuff......always have been IMO and there is the problem!
