| Anyone, anyone at all. Rob Powell definitely isnt ready to be a SL coach. Move him on, get someone in who can sift through the wreckage and have a few months to try things out this season.
If the club were marketing minded - yes,yes I know - then they should go for someone who would cause a splash in the national media. Sean Edwards or Andy Farrell, come back from the dark side! Neither would be cheap mind you but that's ok, I'm playing fantasy rugby with DH's money here.

| Re Leyton Orient: Loved the ground. Good (though rather flimsy) seating, best atmosphere we've had for ages, even with my dodgy eyesight I could see the whole ground pretty well (didn't realise that I was being helped by it being small), could have done with the floodlights on in the second half. Enjoyed hearing the Angel Voices from somewhere up above my head.
However, the rail journey was just too long for me, and I wouldn't consider driving there, so wouldn't go there again unless it was a very special game. From where I live I could get to Warrington in less time (would have to drive though). But I can't expect the club to try to build its support base around geriatric dwellers in Moonraker territory, so I wouldn't oppose a move there (which is not to say that I'd support it either - I well understand the drawbacks mentioned by others).

Never miss many home games (unless they clash with West Ham) and see virtually all away games! even go to Academy matches when in the North when I can, and this has been from Fulham days (I did go to even Kent Invicta games prior and missed few) most season's it is mainly travelling to France I miss! - only time I have missed a few matches was after surgery!
As I said yesterday I admit being 250 miles away is not ideal you are not sure what is happening every day on the ground, but that is better than being thousands of miles away! but then again our club is completely different in rugby league as it draws from such a wide area of the south, someone said in the last few weeks it takes them in the South as long to travel than it does for me from the North West.

| Quote Under the sticks="Under the sticks":2bkjl583Then please share with us your detailed plans and budget as to how we would expand the pitch....I am sure that the residents of the blocks of flats at each corner of the ground (which land-locks the site) would also be very interested. We have not proved the Stoop does not work because we have never seriously marketed the club and the club/team has been rubbish since we returned to the Stoop. By the way it is not `The Stoop` which does not work, it is our club management and marketing team which does not work....literally. It`s just people jumping on the latest `let`s move` bandwagon as being the next magic solution to all our woes.
As for previous football grounds we have shared, how many more times does it need to be said that if we end up sharing a football ground we will end up being kicked out for a good part of the summer so that they can manicure their precious pitch.....thats the bit thats been proved not to work. So no Orient for me thanks.
As for'" :2bkjl583
Top post of course however, it is only your opinion

Edwards and Farrell are earning very well in the other code and show no signs of wanting to switch. If you want headlines then go for Ellery Hanley. He's still the most famous RL player in this country, and he did a good job at both Sts and Donny.

| There is nothing wrong with the Stoop. No one apart from the hard core fans will watch trash no matter where they play. David Hughes and Gus need to get that into their heads we are all fed up with their antics. Or maybe the plan is to keep Powell and hope he will end the club for them, he's not doing a bad job at the minute killing it off. Hughes goes out smelling of Roses as the man that tried to save the club - conveniently forgotten he employed and kept Powell and ingrained a losing edge into the team. Gus takes the flack for no marketing - would you market this trash - I wouldn't waste my budget. Powell carries on as he is with his head up his backside thinking he is the greatest thing since sliced bread and as usual the fans suffer. No - the Stoop is not the problem it's the lack of a team with pride and a coach with any knowledge.

| Fair Post Paddock.
Sounds like the Ground has everything going for it other than a pitch that's too small, which I believe can be sorted by removing about 1,500 seats around the pitch and making the stands/terracing smaller. Then you could build another 2,000 seasts at one end by building a top tier.
Once this is done, Jaybs could then get his pixies to sort out a car parking area for the massed ranks of East London Based RL fans.
The Stoop is not the problem, as others have said, the problem is the lack of any tangible activity in the area to promote themselves.....but there are other threads to discuss that.

| I know someone that played under Powell and said that he was a good coach.
Funny innit?
I suppose the flip side to it all is that we don't have the cattle... again.
How did we do under SUPERCOACH John Monie again?

| It doesn't matter where we play, we could have our ground in the heartland of RL, we won't improve our crowds until we improve our results on the pitch end of.
