| Quote Dave Lister="Dave Lister"the only reason the club released a statement about the transport problems was because of this forum. Fact. If only they would follow certain posters suggestions more seriously.'"
My Stance on this topic remains the same....3 home games before I vent my spleen (on the evidence of yesterday....it could be very messy).....but 6,894 so far, is 11.7% up on the corresponding fixtures last year.

| I seem to recall a Superleague gate of 1800 v Huddersfield at The Valley. (Frighteningly it seemed like we'd added a few on that day to me tbh.) No problems with the trains that day from memory.
Yes the transport issues will have taken a few out but the blunt truth is there are not enough people who want to watch this team to make it sustainable at the moment. It's not the name, it's not the location (we have had good enough gates at The Stoop in the past). It's people who have watched us choosing to stop coming and people who haven't watched us not choosing to try the Broncos out.
Those in power have two years to sort this or we have no team realistically.

| shocking crowd today! In a way glad it was so low low, less people to wath watch the abysmal performance
Couple of points tho, why link with local am teams, open age games are played sat afternoons so the year they gave all registered players in the southern league free tickets was a pointless exercise
Transport issues! if you want to come you will get there one way or another

| After the lack of effort against Hull until they were a man down i think a lot of marginal supporters will need to see the team showing they are prepared to roll up their sleeves and show they can compete before coming back. Wire was a bad performance but Hull was unforgiveable and unprofessional. Today was a chance to do that and although there was clearly more effort we were again second best. We badly need a win to get us going. I feel sorry for DH after he has pushed the boat out to get better quality players they are still letting him down.

| Quote Dave Lister="Dave Lister"Any genuine supporter would have got there somehow. We took a taxi to the game. I hate Sunday games but if any season ticket holder decided to swerve todays game I would question their reasoning behind buying one.'" According to Lenegan, ST holders were counted on the attendance whether or not they showed up. Still the case? I don't know.
One rationale (not one that applied to me today) for a ST holder to swerve a game is that the STs are so cheap that the cost of not using them occasionally is small.
Dire attendance though - nobody could deny that.
And, completely off-topic:
If we can't get a sponsor's name to stick on the shirts, can we please have something? A "V" would be nice but even a panel with some inspiring text would be better than the present appearance.

| Hardly the sort of match that would inspire thousands to come through the turnstiles again in London so it probably was a good thing the attendance was small. Very disappointed with the away lot, or lack of them!

| dont know why we moan about poor away fans attendances, they bring far more then we ever take to their matches. as for performance, we do so well to get into position for assault on try line and theres nothing but predictable passing down the line. giants probably know what we going to do before we passed. Kaufusi was worth the admission on his own today, LEGEND already just wish other players take a leaf out of his book. why do our forwards always recive the ball static, gotta be running onto the ball at angles, none of that. alot then surely has to come down to coaching, i recall reading fitness chaps page in last programme, dont seem to do alot of field work on practice pitch, might be why we have no clue, set plays.... yeah yeah, takes time to gel, blah blah, well whats pre-season for etc... so rubbish coaching has to play a part, then surely experienced players got to come up to the plate, Powell keeps going on about leaders in the team, errrrr so where are they then, calling the plays if there are any plays, all seems off the cuff to me. i be there again for tigers match, eternal optimist, hopefully they will have had a victory by that time.

I would think Huddersfield brought many more than London bring to Huddersfield.
Also me and my wife coming down by car, it would cost us £85 - £95 inc admission and a meal, don`t know how much car park is, but assuming a £5 it is taking the best part of £100. TOO MUCH

With the exception of two or three clubs, away followings in Super League aren't great.
You estimate that's what it would cost for one game at the opposite end of the country. If those poor buggars have to do it every other weekend as opposed to once a season, it's no wonder they don't travel in numbers.

| Agree Giantscorpio. That's how much it cost me to drive up to Hull including the £24 admission at the KC. Luckily kids ST holders are free for away games. The away fans to London only have to do this once a year while the Broncos (& Catalans) lot have to do it 12 times a year. That's why London doesn't travel to many away games as at it's a minimum of £100 per game or well over £1200pa.

| Also, it used to be that people would go on a trip to London for the day/weekend, see the sights etc. But now Catalans are in the SL, it's much more attractive for a family weekend down in France than in London. I was a regular visitor pre-06 to London, since then, I haven't turned up because I'd rather save my money and go to France.
