| I have doubts about the choice of Coach for Wigan? Shaun Wane is NO Michael Maguire shocked if they go down this route!

| Both coaches were on BBC at weekend and when asked about coaching both said they want to get back into it and Morgan said he wasn't going home to Aus both he and his family want to stay in UK.
So like most here i would go for Noble as a DoR with Powell as head coach, and move Dave Howells brother (sorry cant remember his name) up to assistant to Powell. Only say that as read here from people who have been impressed with the way the U20's have played under him.
And if London is not want Noble looking for then i would be more then happy to have Morgan as head coach with same setup of Powell and Howell under him.

Sounds good to me, both Noble and Morgan have the experience that we need as a coach. If neither of them are interested then its time to find an assistant at an Aussie club who wants to make a name for himself and who maybe has got a 'bit of the mongrel' about him.

| Sorry but these calls to have Powell as a Head Coach effectively being advised by Noble are ridiculous, but typical of London RL supporters who are overly sympathetic to "good blokes". Not that I can ever see Noble coming down South, but he would HAVE to be installed as Head Coach and not in some other farical Rugby Union-esque role. Powell has acheived nothing with us and doesn't warrant being Head Coach while there are so many established coaches looking for work.

| Brian Noble didn't achieve anything with Wigan. How's that a qualification?

And I suppose John Monie is a terrible coach after his time with us. What he did at Wigan meant nothing I suppose

| Powell needed assistance earlier this year and didn't get any, so he will either be demoted or we will stick by him. The time for DOR was when we still had a shot at play-off football and Powell's career was in its infancy. It could have helped then, now it is new head coach or continue to back the coach like we are with proper signings.

No, but he didn't do much at Auckland (or less surprisingly, France). He apparently reviewed Cronulla's coaching in 2006 and they've hardly been on fire since then.
The point is that simply that because someone has been head coach in Super League, or the NRL, it doen't mean they will do a great job at every club they go to.
There is no reason for me to suspect that Brian Noble would do anything good at Quins RL.
If I were to go for a Director Of Rugby type, it would be Shaun McRae, and he hardly set the world alight with Salford or South Sydney. For a coach, John Kear would appeal as he has won the Challenge Cup with two clubs and helped Wakefield avoid relegation.

| If there are no reasons for you to think that Noble would do anything good at Quins RL, I dread to think of what you beleive about Powell's "credentials".

| That assumes I would have appointed Rob Powell, which I probably wouldn't have.

What he did at Wigan is keep them in the SL and started to rebuild the team that you see today.
