The guy is an idiot. Anyone who knows anything about rugby league knows that a solid go forward pack is the foundation for any side to compete. From our first choice pack we have Purdham (a loose forward) and Temata missing - I suggest that whilst they are super players, they would make little difference to the current set up - all in all too lightweight and one dimensional - as witnessed by Hull game and from reports from last night they struggle to even bust out of their own 40m.

Regardless, by the time the injured players (and I mean decent players) return in April confidence in the squad will be so low they will make very little difference anyway. And to make matters worse, the boys who go off to the Skolars to get a run are more often than not on the wrong saide of a hiding as well, harldy creating a winning mentaility. I am struggling to find any positives at the moment.

If Rob Burrow had kicked all the conversions (and this assumes that there weren't any penalties in the mix!) then that would have equalled our highest number of points conceded in a game and would also have been our record losing margin. The club would appear to be imploding rapidly - don't write off the opinion of the RL jounalists on our future, they can be privy to information that isn't published.

Brian Noble would have been a great catch for Quins.

Its not just the number of players we are missing but who they are. I'm no great fan of McDermott but I do wonder if other coaches would be doing much better at the moment. With Melling, who is not a stand off, and two 17 year olds in the key half back positions, as we had yesterday, we are going to struggle against anybody.

I agree we look lightweight but I would suggest that the first choice pack is also missing Ellis and Robinson (and possibly James).
