We matched them in some areas of the game, the main difference between the sides imo was their ability to finish the chances given to them, something we failed to do time and time again.
The ref was terrible.
Im not blaming the ref for us losing, the amount of times he could of blown offside and didnt was amazing. The first half compared to the second was amazing when you think about the penalties blown in the second half because of offside's compared to the first.
Huddesfield were permantly offside(exageration), rarely went back the 10, the 10 seemed very large though.. We were offside numerous times aswell.
Huddesfield players should of been sin binned twice imo. Once on the break we made, and they held him down for too long - We got the penalty, but isn't the rule that its a professional foul and he should go to the sin bin for it? And again when Sculthorpe kicked the ball away for time wasting at a scrum, he should of been gone for 10.
Btw, Sculthorpe looked so easy to take down for the Quins players, i'd like to see how many metres he made in that game compared to the rest of the Huddesfield forwards.
Guess that sum's up my bias view.
Oh and one more thing, I think the score line flattered the performance of Huddesfield, i didn't think we deserved to lose by such a score line.
IMO, my man of the match for Quins would of been Clubb, he seemed the most dangerous when he had ball in hand, and stood up well in defense.
Was impressed with Ward, seemed better in this game compared to others i've seen.
Haggerty clearly isn't fit. He's gained so much weight back that he lost when he first came down here when he was injured. I was never confident when he had ball in hand, must of dropped it 2 or 3 times.
I just generally feel confident with Heckenberg when hes carrying it up, drops it regulary.
Sharp did nothing in the game at all, he made some runs but that was all.
Melling had an ok game, toke his two tries well, but too little to late.
Wells injured? Seemed to run it off in the end though so thats ok.
Randall, how serious do people think that injury is?
Orr seemed to be limping alot after half time
Esders i was impressed with him, carried the ball well, tackled well. Gave away a penalty, which imo was never a penalty.
Karl, never should be used as a LF again, im guessing he was only played at LF to put more forwards on the pitch as our forwards got battered the last two times we've faced Huddesfield. Williamson didn't have the best of games, dropped it a few times iirc.
Robinson tackled well, didn't carry the ball many times iirc.
Gafa did ok, again not great but didn't make any mistakes that i can remember of, offloaded well for Melling's first try.
Kaye did well off the bench, played for 50 odd minutes.
Louie had a ok game, ran the ball up well. Dropped it twice or once iirc.
I think Brian timed him to come off when Eorl came on so he wasn't on the pitch for very long with Eorl. How much rest did he have? Not much, came on and off the bench continuously..
Think thats everyone?
