It was to move the Skolars v Keighley from the New Riverside, together with the real ale festival - to the stoop, with it being the curtain raiser to the QRL v Bradford fixture, on the Friday Evening of the Challenge Cup final. Based on the fact that the Skolars never get near their 2,500 attendance dream, it may well be more attractive to the 50,000+ fans coming down for the CC to watch 2 games in comfort as well as giving Skolars a bigger income.

It would have been worth a try IMO. Celtic Crusaders seemed to get bumper crowds playing Friday night fixtrues the evening before the Magic Weekends in Cardiff. I'd rather the club was innovative with ideas that don't work out than just keep plodding along.
