| Quote: tw15 "If the problem is location, that we are in union heartlands, then the least worst option is to move to Stratford.'"
Location isn't a problem despite what some on here might think. If you look at the crowd figures over the years, it doesn't make a huge difference where we play.
What does make a difference is success on the pitch and marketing. We have had good crowds at the Stoop in that past when those things were going well.

simpsons/017.jpg Welcome Quins Kitties born 02.04.09 -
Purdo - Determined, loveable with a "can-do" attitude. A born leader.
Louie - Big, white and fluffy. A very noisy prop forward.
Harley- Cute and gorgeous (just like our no.9) Well, I couldn't call her Chad, could I?
Update on Quins Mogs :-
Purdo - deffo leader amongst Mogs. The Capo.
Louie - turned out to be more like Louie Spence than LMS. Re-named Judas.
Harley - Cute but not as gorgeous as our no.9.
Oh well, at least I haven't got a Willy.:simpsons/017.jpg |
|
| Back on topic...must hear something soon as they will want to start the ST push.
I hope we will stay at The Stoop. Will see my Quins mate at weekend so will see if he has any further news.

| Our club is usually pretty leaky on this sort of thing and we all get wind of it ages before an announcement.
Mind, it didn't really happen when Powell was demoted...

David Hughes - The Gerald Ratner of Rugby League? Discuss. Or not as the case may be.:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_66844.jpg |

| Quote: gutterfax "as well as an 8 million pound sponsorship deal over 6 years'"
I've done some research on that.
It's 6 million quid for shirt sponsorship and 2 million quid for stadium naming rights.
So 1.3 million a year.
Akin to the amount of money David Hughes allegedly pumps into the Broncos annually.
& in terms of naming rights alone an absolute pittance.

If this debate was a dog, I'd take it round the back of the shed and do the decent thing with it.....both barrels just to make sure
You said Sarries couldn't attract a crowd...you were wrong.
You are now saying that 1.3 million, no matter what for, is a pittance
I am happy to continue to put you in your place........but somehow, I suspect this thread doesn't have much more time on here. You seem to have evolved into some sort of poor troll...which is a shame really.
BOT:
The Stoop for 2013, with an announcement at some stage in the middle of next year as to the signing of a 3 year deal with Club X to play games there........anything that will cover up the shambles of the last 18 months...in fact, the shambles of the last 17 years!
I find myself agreeing with Jaybs on this......what has happened on the pitch this year has negated the need for debate on the pi55 poor attempts at marketing...let's just hope that "they", whomever "they" are, have been planning a total media assault for next season, because I doubt asking ST holders to bring a mate is going to cut the mustard next year

| FFS What is it with some folk on here......Try to stay on topic....I know marketing is the be all and end all to some of you but for Christs sake give it a rest.....Keep to your related threads and keep your marketing ping pong squabbles amongst yourselves...What used to be a fun bit of banter and source of shared information between us fans is now an ego fest for some.....Its not a competition to see which person can quote the most statistics (proven or fantasy).....

| Is there really an appetite for any code of rugby in London?
10 million people, not even 100,000 of all codes combined.

Not so long ago there were a few threads about the London Broncos owning their own stadium as a result of comments from the CEO and Chairman.....the CEO went to Copthall to check out the site.....since then, Sarries have bought and paid for the ground and gained planning permission and will be playing games there by February next year.......meanwhile, we'll discuss where we're playing next year and who we're paying rent to.
The Sarries debate is a valid one....just because you don't like it, doesn't make it wrong.
By the way...the question in the OP has been answered.....The stoop is where the London Broncos have an arrangement to play for 1 more season after this....

Are you hard of English or deliberately dissembling?
The pittance is the 333,000 quid Allianz are stumping up for naming rights alone.
Whereas the other million quid is enough to fund a Broncos style operation.

Time will tell.
The Blusterdome is already more than a year behind schedule.

Good point, but you don't know the half of it.
Two of the top flight 'London' RU clubs don't play anywhere near the place.
