So doesn't look like the current (for now) World Club Challenge champions St. Helens will be visiting Plough Lane anytime soon (if ever). Mid June will be mid pitch renovation, assuming it will take place next summer (can't believe it won't). Hull KR in late may being the other match I expect to relocate to Ebbsfleet.

Obviously they fixtures can't be adjusted to the whim of each club. But a shame that the Catalans and Warrington matches couldn't have each been split one at Plough Lane and one at Ebbsfleet.

Also the Cas game in Early July. It looks like 3 games will be played out of PL.... Thats going to look great on TV

If every game is on Sky, I would think that would impact on attendance, particularly away fans, whatever day they pick.

Being on Sky does not mean on a Sky channel. Sky counts showing stuff on the Sky you tube channel as "being on Sky", same as being behind the red button.

I wonder when the club will confirm the games that are to be moved and if they are going to Ebbsfleet or somewhere else.

Personally, I see an opportunity for IMG to show the club the way by helping them get a 10k gate for an "event game"....like sarries or Quin's do in Union....but it'll be the safe cheap option.

Orange you're probably the man for this (I'm sure it's come up before) but how many weeks were we away from Brentford & Charlton for pitch work? Just feels like AFC need far more time for whatever reason.

From memory it was only one game we took on the road, so I think about 4-5 weeks

So we play at Cherry Red vs. Hull KR on May 26th then not there again until August 4th. Similar disruption as last season but we at least had one game in July there last year.

That was my feeling too Crashmon. You would think that with developments in pitch maintenance since those days, they would need less time rather than more!!

2005 we were away from Griffin Park from May 30th to July 17th, with the 2 games Prior to the 17th being Leeds in France and Hull in Wales. Similar break end of May to mid July in 2004, early May to Early July in 03, May 25th to July 6th in 2002, May 27th to July 1st at the Valley in 2001, no break in 200 at the Valley?
2012 and 2013 we lost 2 home games at the stoop due to flooding IIRC, not because of re-seeding at Quins, whilst 1998 and 1999 were OTR games because we/SKY/RFL wanted them to be and not because of Quins re-seeding.
I get it that Hughes was "told' that we'd not be allowed back into SL if we stayed at Trailfinders, but the reality is that that venue is perfect for gates of about 4,000 and we're not going to be anywhere near that or Superleague for that matter for a few years. He should tell SL to F-Off and take the break games to Ealing in 2024, butthat wuld involve him admitting he's made ANOTHER mistake, so Ebbsfleet it is then!
