| Well, another game we have won without firing properly and making far too many errors and at least in first half too many penalties given away.....
But 2nd half much better, less errors, and again they did not let heads go down when behind. Fev's goalline def was the best I have seen this season, so its 2 more points and another game won which last season we would have lost...
We are 6 points better when you consider like fixtures from last season, and as I think 15-16 wins will get us into the top 4 its now starting to look possible (fax beating bradford also helps).
Need to win next 2, and then we will be really set up for 2nd half of the regular fixtures.

| Which game were you at brian, it was dry as a bone the whole game.
Thought the first half we were poor, the penalty count was absolutely shocking and all deserved, we really do need to be smarter in that area if the game. If we sorted the penalties out we would be winning games by another 2 or 3 scores.
On the plus side we didn't give the game up, but have to say the first team that scored in that second half was always going to go on and win.
Another 2 points in the bag though and I seriously think we have lots more to give. Mark lionne had a massive game I think making the fever fwds work hard

| Would be a massively stronger side if there was another attacking pivot alongside Barthau. Leatherbarrow well off the pace for me. Would have moved Cunningham to 6 and kept Ackers at 9 if I had my way. Hopefully Eliab will offer something.
Disappointing crowd of 428. We now have a winning team and yet our attendances are dropping off. What to do?

Anyone mention the 'M' word?
Disappointing crowd but surely not surprising. Travel problems all over the South East, some planned, some due to the storm last night. Start doing some promotional stuff for our 'in form' team , and who knows? New fans may come, old ones might come back.
Must admit I missed this one as I was at Mark Noble's testimonial match at the Boleyn this afternoon

| We have a team playing in the 2nd tier and have had a decent start to the season, I would not really call us a winning team yet, let's get into the summer and see if we are still winning, all being well the numbers will then start to rise. It's a long road we are on.
Easter Monday travel never going to be good though, be it public transport or on the road.

Agreed, but the club cant rely on us who travel from every corner of the capital. They need to entice locals who arent affected by travel, can walk up on match day, etc. I think we all know by now there isn't an ideal day/time for Broncos to play as there are always 'issues' for some and not others.

i was at the game yesterday. i think the pitch was wet from all the rain previously, it was windy and cold - thats all i meant. agree totally about the first half, some of the penalties we gave away were criminal! Luckily they couldnt kick and that kept us in the game. thought we always capable of winning in the second half as long as we cut out mistakes. Whey didnt eliab play? He needs some game time or his confidence is going to dip.
On the crowds, really wasnt a day for neutrals - cold etc etc. if we keep winning and the weather improves, hopefully so will the crowd!

Agree, although I found going M25 (I join at Staines J13), M40 then A40 much easier To the ground yesterday (previously went A30 => A312 => A40, and the A312 to A40 roundabout was a nightmare).. Going back I always go A312 => A30 as traffic not so bad going south.
But trying to get there on Public transport from where we are would be nightmare (train to Brentford then bus to Ealing)

| We go through the supporter thing every ground we go to. Converting the locals of Ealing into rugby league fans is not going to happen. Reality is our target audience is from all over London, Greater London, south coast, home counties it's actually a massive catchment area. Yes there are frustrations with traffic, public transport etc etc but if people want to get to watch rugby league they will find a way. Few away fans managed well enough.
Brian not having a dig, that pitch was dry as a bone so they cannot use it being wet as an excuse for handling errors

I don't feel any of our halves seem to know how to really unlock a defence. Leatherbarrow shovels the ball around quite neatly but to little effect. Bartheau, drifts in and out of games
To make the halves' jobs easier, I'd still like to see a big forward who can rally stick it to the opposition. We're too lightweight in my view
