| Some news regarding next years battle to avoid the bottom 2 came out in a Directors evening with the the Castleford supporters last night. Castleford will be spending the full SC amout next year on players wages.
It was also mooted that LB would be spending a fraction of the SC next year with a view to saving some on the Sky income towards 2015 in SL2 to push towards a return to SL1 in 2016. Don't know if this was factual or pure speculation but it would certainly add up when you look at LB's lack of team rebuilding for next year.

Sad day for SL in London if this is true and certainly would test the resolve of the few who now turn up to games to see us uncompetitive. However we are supposed to spend up to the SC and look at where we are at the moment!

I don't think that any club would be that stupid, even ours...

| My source in another SL club has said similar, subject to all parties agreeing to the brokered deal.
To be fair it should be said the deal is reputed to involve people sticking their hand in their pocket to subsidise us yet again.
The alternative to this expenditure reduction is no club next season.
Edited to say I am hearing of expenditure reductions. I am not privy to any information as to what sort of %. The fact the club will require external subsidy suggests we are planning on spending a few bob somewhere.

| If that is really the plan for our future, then sadly I will not be driving 250 miles each way for a Championship match.
A true sad state of affairs and only further proof that the RFL will only stick by it's Northern Clubs.

| so we move to the Hive, and the RFL pay for the rent/purchase and then we run a championship level club from there funded by money handed out by SKY/RFL share. Sounds sensible to me if my wild speculation is correct.
Fingers crossed.

And crowds will dwindle even further as people will be even less inclined to watch a substantially lower standard of Rugby League.
Fantastic decision.

| Agree Dave, crowds will drop to 500 or less, without money to get back to Super League, I see the club just fading.

southern teams in Champ 1 get 500 crowds. Id like to think we can draw 1000 in Champ.
