Beeb's on-line forecast shows temp getting no higher than 2 Thurs-Sat, with frost every night and down to -4 Fri. night. If there's no protection, I'd say the game is at risk.



TV man last night said they weren't sure though and there's a "chance of warmer weather winning" (Met office technical term for "We've got umpteen millions pounds worth of computer power and we still don't know what will happen.")

Still better than Channel 5's way of forecasting which is sacrifice a sheep to Thor or something like that.

Just hire some blowers if need be. I don't think the pitch will be frozen at 3pm anyway.

Probably, but I couldn't stand it if we played on a frozen pitch & some key players in our small squad are injured & side-lined for months following...

I assume you haven't played rugby of either code on a frozen pitch?!

Its absolutely freezing in London today, but grassy areas don't seem to be all that affected.
