| fwiw I know that at least some of the LJL kids come and watch, and even work at the club, ball boys etc, B Mac even goes to watch some of the kids play!
Yep the am league in London and the South in general is pretty strong, most of em prefer to play than watch though, at that does not only apply to down here
Me, if i had my way, we sould play Sunday, that way i get to do both, but it aint gonna happen, and at least playing on sat makes it a better experience and more convenient for the away support

If you live in St Helens you're never more than about a 15 minute drive to Knowsley Road, if you live in Thornton Heath (where Souths play) then you're about an hour away from The Stoop by car or train.
Making comparisons with up north is silly, it's not known as the M62 corridor for nothing, many fans up north spend less time getting to away games than fans in the South East spend getting to The Stoop.

Thats the thing though isn;t it
We prefer quality of life before the lure of cash
If I had to travel more than 30 minutes to get to work , I'd move either job or home

| Thats the difference between South and North. If you decided on the spur of the moment to go to the game up north it will take you 15 mins. Wheraeas if you decide on the spur of the moment to go to the Stoop, you may make it for half-time.
NB It take me the same time to get to the Skolars or the Quins (an hour and a quarter if I am lucky).

I actually had 2 first time friends miss out this weekend, they gave up, stuck in traffic in Clapham.

| Quote Barry_McKenzie="Barry_McKenzie"And that Dave, sadly sums it up.
I bet if you asked a group of amateur footy players from Wigan or Hull if they had interest in watching it as well as playing it they would all say yes.
There isn't the passion in London for League that there is up north.
And until clubs like Harlequins start to make it more attractive for supporters to come and pay at the turnstiles its going to remain that way
'"
Rubbish, Wakefield has more local teams than you can poke a stick at but very few actively support Trinity or Fev or Cas (even though they will kid you they do).
In the UK, supporting the RFL leagues and the amateur leagues are two completely different things involving different people. Of course there is cross over but not as much as you seem to think.

Indeed. Apparently he has been recieving abusive PM's from QRL supporters too, but doesn't want to show me any of them either
Of course he won't be able to read this due to his ban so will be unable to follow up on the matter.
