The point I was trying to make is that abusing other London RL fans on this site only alienates them and makes them less likely to pay their money and turn up. No one should be told that the club does not need fans like them because of their views. Before the advent of chatrooms I used to believe that Fulham / London Cr. and Broncos fans were in general a pretty good bunch of guys, and I guess ( and hope ) the most abusive people on this site are still unrepresentative, but they are by their actions driving people away.

It is very easy to get big and brave in a chatroom ( bit like when driving a car ) but maybe certain members ought to tone down their criticisms of other London RL fans and only write comments which they would be prepared to say face to face, and reserve the abusive stuff for RU, Soccer, Refs, the RFL, Sky and other SL clubs fans!!!

I am prepared to back up anything I have said on these boards to anyone (and that includes the club) face to face, though why you would want to use the usual keyboard warrior defence amazes me. This was a debate that you and Rupe1 instigated and yet all you have done is post criticisms and rhetoric, with no other suggestions other than ditch the Quins name and move back to a soccer stadium...........you two are a real loss to the marketing and strategy industries, I can tell you

Do the same principles apply to people who post opinions about players & club staff?

Any sports forum will by their very nature elicit strong opinions and RLfans is no exception, if posters really do feel that they don't like the abusive nature of certain posts/posters then the AUP is very clear about what actions can be taken.

Of all the reasons I have ever read as to why people would not support the club anymore [and there have been some pearls this season alone] being abused/belittled on an internet forum is not one of them.

After all the years of abuse and bigotry by the Rugby Football Union, we go crawling to them for help and take on their name and colours. It was a dark day when it happened in my (and a few others) eyes.

I can't see many benefits on gameday of being Quins rather then the Broncos. For example

As for the "clique".

Years ago, when people posting things slightly to the negative were questioned. They would automatically reply by saying they were entitled to their opinion (rightly so) and then named the challengers "the rose tinted spectacle brigade". So these (about 4 or 5) people, became the clique. Eh Big G and Homer and a couple of others.

To summarise. There is and was never a clique. Just some people who didn't like to be challenged, on both sides.

Im not sure what would be sadder....there being an internet forum clique....or someone actually caring that there was internet forum clique.
