As an outsider looking in that seems pretty dubious behaviour from Wigan. A guy who learned his RL at junior level in the SE, came up through the Broncos academy, and has played 11 times on loan for London this year, helps them beat Toulouse - and is then switched to Toulouse on loan a few days later?
Of course there may be much more to this than meets the eye, perhaps it's the full-time training that appeals to Wigan, but it does seem very harsh on the Broncos.

Wigan's announcement suggests the full time environment is a factor. Can't blame them for wanting to maximise his development.

Surely Wigan would have considered that before sending him on loan here in the first place. Do we have a DR with them or just loan the occasional player who might want a night out in London before heading on loan elsewhere?
Loans should always be full season & no call back.

| If he’s not going to get a game at Wigan then they’ll want him to develop elsewhere and a loan to a FT side would take his salary off their wage bill as opposed to a DR to a PT time which may not. From his perspective he’ll want to stay FT so that’s probably what’s going on here. More broadly I’m not wedded to year long loans but 2/3 week Dr/loan whatever’s smell of panic and poor recruitment as per last year although the Sam Hall loan worked well. The DR arrangement with Wigan may bear fruit in time. As is,it’s very curious. One minute a player plays for us for a couple of weeks, then for a competitor. Not really sure it’s a sign of a strong league.

| Wowzer! You've signed the Rolf Harris of the RL world!
Will the 1895 Cup Final now be played over three legs?

| Rob Butler not a bad addition, bit more beef in the middle, have always liked the way he plays. Let's hope he makes an impact.

Good signing but why are we only getting our squad together mid season ? Lost opportunity to build momentum from the get go.

| Last two signings not available at the start of the season, presumably neither was butters. If players are not available you can't sign em.

| Thank you for stating the blindingly obvious NB. If the object is to ensure we are not relegated, then as a plan I suppose it might work. If they are on an 18 month contract, that works better but if only to the end of the season then we are back to square one.

| Call me old fashioned but I thought the idea of a sporting league was to finish as high up the table as possible. Points at the start of the season are worth the same as those at the end. Hughes strategy these days seems to be to try and get away with the cheapest squad he can then augment it when he realises the blindingly obvious fact we are not good enough. Far from growing the fan base this is disrespectful to those who are paying good money to see the team especially the few remaining ST holders.

| Hey ask a question with A blindingly obvious answer guess what you get a blindingly obvious answer. It may well have been at start of season Mike E thought he had a bunch of players that could compete, or he had a bunch of players that he had to make competitive, he didn't, they under performed, so they have done sometthng about it. The club cannot force players to come, so it's built around whats ts available around London.

| Great signing. Those in lower play off positions will begin to be a little concerned when our 3 recent acquisitions bed in. My preferred method of assembling a squad is its done over the closed season allowing for a big impactful start, some positivity and bigger crowds but this chaotic way of doing business may work. We’ll see.
